Great place to stay in central California

Posted Aug 10, 2014
Pros: Price. Large, clean rooms. Closeness to San Francisco, the beaches and Napa/Sonoma. Free breakfast.
Cons: The only thing we noticed was that the walls in the entire lobby area could really us a cleaning or some paint.
Location: This is a great alternative to staying in downtown San Francisco. About a twenty minute commute to downtown or a 40 minute commute to Napa/Sonoma.
We traveled the California coastline from San Diego to San Francisco and this was our last hotel. I had booked a king bed room as usual, and when we arrived we were told we had a two full bed room. This had also happened to us in Los Angeles at another Embassy Suites and they moved us to a king the following night for the rest of our stay there. We were very upset that it had happened again, so Lashawn, the employee at the desk when we arrived, made the change for us immediately so that we could have the room we expected for the full three nights. She explained that Expedia books the rooms and that the hotel has no control over what is booked even though I specifically requested a king room when I paid through Expedia. She recommended that we always call the hotel and request the room type through them, no matter how we book our rooms in the future. I will definitely take her advise from this point on.

Convenient for visiting bay

Posted Jul 25, 2014
Pros: The design, size of room and breakfast included
Cons: Access to Internet too expensive for just down loading emails. Should be free
Location: Ideal for exploring areas around the bay, access to ferries and the Napa Valley, especially as hotel north of the city
An interesting building with full height atrium complete with waterfall and vegetation made very pleasant entrance. Rooms were on four floors around the atrium. Room was large with seating area and separate bedroom. The breakfast was good with fresh cooked food if required. Staff were helpful and the free shuttle to Larkspur ferry a bonus.

Pros: The convenience to the Civic Center for the show.
Cons: I found a mouldy strawberry when I moved a chair. Housekeeping should not have left that. When we had a dead phone...it was fixed immediately. Great !
Very nice. Will come back next year. Must try Happy Hour...Breakfast was wonderful.

Convenient location

Great location...great staff...clean rooms...excellent breakfast...Having said that...What hotels of this caliber don't offer free wifi? 10.00 a day, on top of our 200.00 a night room charge...Also a very hot, muggy lobby/atrium area...we had our air conditioning running constantly...Over all...we had a great stay...especially liked the little lady taking breakfast tickets every morning...what a sweetheart!

Good value in the Bay area

Posted Jun 29, 2014
Pros: Location, and the usual Embassy Suites "extras".
Cons: An outdoor pool would add something.
Location: We use this as a base to explore the area for sightseeing - Sausalito, Tiburon, Angel Island, Muir Woods, San Fran all very accessible.
We have used this hotel before and returned for its convenient location for visiting San Fran, and the other Bay towns as well as exploring the coast and wine country further North. It meets al our expectations in terms of value, comfort and facilities.

Nice hotel. Close to wine country

Posted Jun 3, 2014
Pros: The rooms, breakfast and happy hour.
Location: Wine country -- Sonoma and Napa Valley are within a short driving distance along with Golden Gate bridge and downtown San Francisco. All via 101 fwy.
The purpose of our stay was for a Lacrosse tournament so we checked in with several teenage boys. We got two rooms with two double beds in each and a sofa that makes into a bed. The accommodations provided plenty of room for the teenagers and all their gear. The complimentary cooked to order omelet breakfast was awesome and gave the teens the energy they needed to get their day started. The complimentary manager's "happy hour" (it is actually 2 hours) was a nice bonus for the parents. The hotel was clean and beautiful and the staff friendly. It is conveniently located close to the 101 freeway. We took some time to go to Sonoma wine country which was only 20 minutes away. The Golden Gate Bridge is 15 minutes away as well. Very nice and would recommend.
