Nice updated hotel; very helpful staff. A great location for people to walk around or ride bikes. The property is well maintained and quite clean. Rooms are large and the decor was very calming and well done. The TV was very large.

“Clean and quiet”

The quietest hotel I have every stayed inn, very well maintained with comfortable beds, and a nice complimentary breakfast. Dinner at the adjacent Italian restaurant was outstanding.

“Family traveling with two young children”

The hotel was very clean. The beds were very comfortable, along with getting 4 pillows on each queen bed. The sheets were clean, no stains, and smelled fresh. The bathroom was very clean, no stains in or around the toilet. The seat looked to be new. The bathtub was real tile with clean grout and no stains. Our room had a flat screen tv (32in?), a dvd player (huge plus with kids), a refridgerator (it was a mini that was hidden in the entertainment center/dresser). Next to the desk was a power port that had extra plugs, usb, and other attachments. We went in February when the temp was around 55, we still went swimming! The kids loved it! The water in the pool was warm and crystal clear! They even had a hot tub that was just as clean and nice and warm. There were always towels. We never seen an over flowing trash can, or anything to make us think it was dirty. The hotel is @ 5 miles from the Golden Gate Bridge, and there is a paved trail right behind the hotel. Great for bike riders or walkers. It was in a nice part of town. There were restaurants close by, and a Walgreens a quarter of a mile down the road. The breakfast was simple but very nice. They had oatmeal, breads, milk, oj, yogurt, fresh fruits, string cheese, and dry cereal. Breakfast was from 6:30-9:30 (nice extended hours) and we didnt have to check out till 11 am (not so rushed). The patios are nice as well. We did not hear our neighbors either. If we go to San Fran again we will likely stay here, wonderful hotel.

“Worth The Stay”

I read the reviews on the Larkspur and decided to give it a try. The location was great. The hotel was clean and comfortable. My kids loved the pool area. The breakfast was simple, but good and free. I would certainly stay at the Larkspur again.

“Good place for a quick overnight to recharge.”

A pleasant setting with just enough amenities to make a quick overnight a pleasure. Check in was seamless, the room was clean and there are plenty of spots to sit and read by the indoor or outdoor fire places. Great high def tv in the room and bed was comfy. The only two complaints, which are minor are the vending machines (took my money) and the noisy bathroom fans.

“Warm and friendly”

I was treated like a Queen from the moment I walked in the door. The staff was very helpful and courteous. There is no elevator to the second floor but that wasn't a problem for me. The restaurant next door was fantastic and my whole stay was excellent.

“What don't they have?!?”

This hotel came up when we were searching for a place near Muir Woods, that accepts pets. Never heard of it, but the pictures looked nice. Man, this place is so cozy. If you are going for Nature, this is the place to stay. They have bikes to rent, hiking kits to borrow, outdoor fire to hang out and make smores... all of those FREE (well, included in the cost of the room). Not to mention free elixirs, healthy breakfast, heated pools, free DVD rentals.... I'm probably forgetting something. There are nature trails, all very close. Muir Woods was our destination, my wife for the Nature, and me for the Grilled Cheese Sandwich w/ Tomato Bisque in the Gift Shop. I was impressed with both. Will definitely visit this hotel again!

Excellent mattresses, very quiet and clean room, and the BEST part is that their A/C system is so quiet when the fan is running, that I never heard it through the night. Great night sleep.
