Good location

Posted Apr 22, 2015
Pros: The location was good for the places we visited. San Francisco, Point Reyes, Armstrong redwood State Park, Napa were all within an hour away.
Cons: Pool was alittle cold not sure if it was heated or not
Rooms were small but clean and priced below others in area. Only problem we had was beds were full size not queen in our room. The only noise I heard at night was my husband snoring.

Beautiful hotel

Posted Apr 18, 2015
This hotel was beautifully remodeled and kept up. The in room amenities were all in great condition. The room was very clean. Although this hotel is right off the freeway, the rooms in the back are fairly quiet. The breakfast was good, with a good amount of selections.

Great location

Location: Great central location for the wine country and the San Francisco bay area.
We only spent the night, but had fun at the Maya Palenque Mexican restaurant down the street!

Very nice stay. The connected restaurant is a bit pricey, but had nice food. Very close to Sonoma Raceway. Didn't spend much time in the room, but everything seemed fine.

Best remodel I've ever seen!

Posted Jan 22, 2015
Pros: Everything worked!
Cons: If I had to focus on one negative, I'm not a pet person and don't like it when hotels allow pets. To some this might be a plus, but not for me.
Location: Cool bike trail heading out of their parking lot.
This is an older strip type motel that got a lot of recent TLC. It has to be the best remodel I've ever seen. They did not cut any corners. The beds were comfortable, the heating/cooling unit worked perfectly, there was a small refrigerator, and they even provide a bath robe in the closet. Probably the thing I like the most was that they got rid of the grungy carpets you see in most hotels in favor of laminate flooring. It's so much more hygienic.

Pros: Location
This is a clean, comfortable, and accessible motel style hotel, offering a nice continental breakfast. The staff is helpful and friendly and was very accommodating to my sister and her Seeing Eye dog.

Good hotel in a good location

Posted Jan 5, 2015 on Hotels.com
Pros: Outside appearance of the hotel was not as nice as expected but the room was very clean and comfortable. Comfortable bed, big shower, robes, keurig machine in the room, premium channels on TV. Location is good if you're willing to drive 3-5 miles in either directions; a lot of nice restaurants, fast food and shopping. Cons: Room service was way too early! Knocking on our doors at 9A.M. for daily room service. There are no outlets near the bed. To charge your phone you either had to do it at the desk or put it on the floor away from the bed.

Cute Cozy and Clean

Posted Dec 30, 2014 on Hotels.com
My finance and I are local (Greenbrae) and we stayed over night at the Marin Inn recently after our Engagement Party which was held at a fantastic nearby Mexican restaurant called Maya Palenque. We have stayed at very high end hotels as well as complete dumps and we both agreed that this hotel was perfect for a short visit. Very clean, ours had hardwood floors, nice white robes hanging in the closet, perfect little continental breakfast. Style is cozy and homey. I wouldn't expect anything more for how inexpensive it was. It met all of our needs. We highly recommend Marin Inn.

Great for families and pets

Posted Dec 30, 2014
Pros: I liked its location and cleanliness.
Cons: Although the heater worked just fine, one blanket seemed too light for the winter weather. There were no additional blankets in the room or pillows.
Location: It is a good location for travelers; in the middle between San Francisco and Sonoma.
We chose this hotel for the proximity to our daughter's home. Although close to the highway, our room was in the back section and very quiet. There is a lawn area next to a pool which would be ideal for pet owners and people with children; ask for a garden room.. The rooms were recently refurbished and were clean and comfortable. Black out curtains make for good sleeping. The breakfast provided was the usual; breads, bagels, cold cereals, beverages, hard boiled eggs, waffles. Since we were there on Christmas morning, I think it would have been nice to have a special treat, but it was adequate. My husband and I will stay there again because of its location; however, there was nothing to set it apart from other hotels in the area to make it a must stay destination.
