Awesome Hotel!Posted Jul 27, 2014
Pros: Everything. It was an enjoyable stay.
Location: Winyards!!!! Blenheim is a beautifully quiet small town and the Chateau is in the heart of the city centre. Easy access to everything you need.
I had such a great time in Blenheim visiting my boyfriend in the airforce. Staying at the Chateau was a treat. The staff were warm and welcoming and didn't hesitate to help us with anything we were looking for information on. Thank you Chateau!

Hotel needs an update and better staff training.Posted Jun 30, 2014
Pros: The location and exterior.
Cons: Staff - learning how to handle customers, clean a room, and run a restaurant - .
Location: Blenheim is fantastic. A cute little town near Picton and so close to Marlborough for wine tasting!
Our stay was very disappointing. The hotel exterior is nice but that is where it stopped for us. On checking in we were greeted with a sour faced employee, the room was ok - the interior was fine - but the bathroom was extremely old and the shower useless. The bedside tables were covered in dust and looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a long time. At the time I thought this was because we purchased a great rate online but we then went on to stay at the Hilton in Taupo (where we payed less!) and had a fantastic experience in a new room with great staff. We had breakfast one morning at the hotel and it was embarrassing for the hotel. The service was slow and the food of poor standard. This hotel IS NOT worth it.

ComfortablePosted May 11, 2014
We only spent one night here on our way down to Queenstown. The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. We ate at the restaurant for dinner and breakfast, both very enjoyable. The staff was friendly and helpful directing is to the nearest shops and wineries on our way out of town.

great staffPosted May 3, 2014 on Hotels.com
We were on our honeymoon trip around top end of south island, this was the most expensive nights stay and unfortunately the room was "work in progress", don't get me wrong, accommodation was fine, staff excellent but room dated and bathroom was undergoing future refurbishment. I had read this on previous comments prior to booking but thought all works had been completed by now. This somewhat dulled a great time in Blenheim. Maybe I should have checked beforehand, lesson learned. But would return definitely after works completed.

Rooms listed as suites when they are only roomsPosted Apr 14, 2014 on Hotels.com
The staff were not very friendly, we booked suites and only got a hotel room, when I questioned them they said they call their rooms suites which is misleading advertising. The bathrooms are very tired but comfortable rooms. The information on the website is incorrect and misleading so beware when booking - also incorrect on hotel booking sires.

Nice hotel v\close to town centrePosted Apr 6, 2014
Cons: Bathroom needs updated
Lovely room looking out on to pool area. Bathroom hadn't yet been updated so we were given a $ food voucher. The hotel meal was very good.
