The hotel it self was lovely, great rooms, clean, modern, and all the right amenities however the buffet food was terrible, tasteless, boring and watered down. Alcohol was over priced.

Cons: On arrival they asked us to pay for our booking in turkish lira, which actually cost us more than price quoted to us on expedia - very misleading!!!!!
Good facilities but pool not always well supervised for children since there was a waterslide and it can be dangerous with no supervision. We ended up doing it ourselves.

The stay was great but would raise a few comments:- A) the issue of staff who struggled with language barriers - it meant that some small details were lost in translation. B) although on HB basis the tea, coffee, juices and water were removed at dinner time meaning additional charges for drinks

Pros: Der traumhafte Blick auf das Meer und die Berge bei den Zimmern zur Strandseite. Der sehr schönen Hotelgarten mit Liegewiese.
Cons: Die Freundlichkeit der Mitarbeiter könnte noch etwas verbessert werden.
Location: In direkter Strandlage an der schönen Promenade. Man kann zu Fuss bis nach Marmaris laufen und bis in den sehr hübschen Ort Icmeler.
Russische und englische Gäste sind hier in der Überzahl. Deutsch wird daher kaum verstanden, bis auf eine Ausnahme an der Rezeption. Jedoch bemühen sich einige Kellner sehr, etwas deutsch zu sprechen und die Getränkebestellungen in deutsch entgegenzunehmen Englisch ist sehr hilfreich. Für uns war dies kein Problem. Aussserdem ist das gute Niveau der Gäste hervorzuheben. Von 21.00 h bis 24.00 h gab es jeden Abend Livemusik im Strandrestaurant des Hotels und zusätzlich eine Show auf der Freilichtbühne des Hotels. Bei den Zimmern mit Meerblick muss man daher bis Miterrnacht mit Geräuschentwicklung rechnen. Das Personal ist sehr kinderfreundlich.

Location: Very good location and access to a clean sandy beach...
Had the most amazing 4 nights in the D-Resort Grand Azur hotel. The hotel is very nice, modern, clean/ spacious and welcoming. Staff is very helpful and nice. The rooms are beautiful, clean, modern and quiet and with an in house Spa. We were on a half board rate, so Breakfast and Dinner were included. The buffet variety, quality and portions were absolutely amazing. This hotel had the most amazing buffet service for both Breakfast and Dinner that I have seen... be ready to gain a few pounds during your visit!. Amazing stay, amazing city, amazing hotel. We will be coming back!.

Pros: Food, spa, pools, comfy beds, sea view suite, smiley staff.
Cons: Our air conditioning unit was not very effective, we didn't ask for it to be fixed but hope it is checked before the height of summer....
Location: About a 20 min walk from the hustle & bustle of Marmaris centre. Take a jeep safari!
We stayed just before Easter - as a family of four. We all enjoyed the excellent facilities. Having a heated indoor pool made the difference for a stay in mid April. Spa facilities were really great and really friendly staff. Tennis facilities also good and we all enjoyed using the courts. My youngest can vouch for the choice of food each day. He was in his element helping himself to a variety of courses each evening. The best bit was going out of season as it meant that the hotel was not crowded so there were no annoying queues to get to the chef's meat grills etc. We left the day before Good Friday (17th April) by which point the hotel was getting busier and as a result was getting full of noisy people. We also saw all the gazebos being erected for the water sports services. So, going in the summer season will be a completely different experience to the one we had but if you love a lively resort with plenty going on then I am sure the Grand Azur will still be a brilliant choice. For me, if I return, I will still choose to go before the start of the season to relax and enjoy all that the hotel has to offer. One point to note is that going at this time of year meant that some areas of the hotel were having maintenance work carried out but it did not impact on the holiday and it just demonstrated that they took good care and followed a maintenance programme. We started our holiday dining in one section and ended it by dining in the newly refurbished section!

We stayed at Grand Azur last year, and decided to go back this year for a week. Long story short... service is superb, the rooms are clean (still not your home), food will be beyond your expectations, hotel itself is beautiful with many, many amenities... Free to use for every guest, beautiful hamam, steam baths, sauna, etc etc. Also, the entire hotel just got a facelift right before 2014 season is about to start. They had construction going on when we stayed... the outside pool was out of service, there was sound, etc etc... you would think it would be a nightmare, but even then this hotel shines. Guests at this hotel will be going back, just like we did... not because it is a beautiful hotel with anything you may wish for, but the people that work there will make you feel like you're at home.
