“"Sub-standard"”
Our stay at the Econo Lodge Marmora was very disappointing. First of all the room was not ready when we arrived at 2pm, we were given another room and that room was not ready. Finally got a room that was ready, room smelled musty, was dated with worn furniture and the linens were not soft, it was drying with sandpaper. The smoke alarm kept beeping even after the battery was changed. The phone wire had to be changed as it would not stay in the phone and the TV would not switch channels for over 3 hours. The front office was quick to respond when called but were inept at solving the problems. The pool was not clean. The complimentary breakfast was satisfactory on the weekend, however, on the weekdays it was the leftovers from the weekend. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
“Gone back for 3rd year”
Is this deluxe accommodations, of course not but it is suffient. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room is clean and has beds, microwave, tv, fridge and showers. I dont go on vacation to sit in my room, we are there for the beach and hardly in our room except to shower and sleep. We are a family of 5 our oldest 15 and there are no complaints, the room is adaquate, decent price and super convenient. The beach is a ten minute drive. I have to say their continental breakfast is wonderful. We have tried others and they do not give you a selection like this place, very happy with the breakfast. We will be going again next year.
“BED BUGS!!!”
I din't think I need to say anything else.
“Great Value”
Our family stays here every year because of its location near GSP, Wildwood and Ocean City, NJ. We love the pool, surrounding safe area with close stores and fast food. And most important the family atmosphere with great continental breakfast. A great value for the $. We are extemely satisfied with this motel every year and as always we will return next year.
“"Not impressed"”
Hotel looked like it was built in the 70's and never updated.
“Easy access to Ocean City, NJ”
If you are looking to stay down at the shore (Ocean City) for the weekend and don't want to pay outrageous hotel fees staying on the island, I suggest staying over the bridge in Marmora (cheaper than Somers Point). The Econolodge was a good value- clean room and good location.
“good value”
hey, it's the econolodge , not the hilton..The place was clean and quiet, good bang for the buck.
“Acceptable for an overnight stay at the shore”
THis hotel is old, but well located for an overnight stay @ OCNJ. It was overpriced, BUT you don't have many other choices there with less than a 3 day stay.
“Disappointed”
We have stayed at this hotel many times in the past and it has always been satisfactory for the price and location. This year the rooms were not very clean, the bathroom sink in one room was completely stopped up and unusable. In the other room the remote control for the TV was broken and the TV could only be controlled using the tiny buttons on the front which were very hard to see at night. Unfortunately we checked in around noon, too early for access to the rooms, went directly to the beach and didn't return to the rooms until late. By the time we saw the rooms it was very late at night and too late to do anything.
“econo lodge your better off sleeping in the car”
the room smelled like something died in there. I ask for more covers from a staff member and she first asked me how many people where in the room then she reluctenly got me a sheet. After I told her my wife was cold, and she told me to turn of the AC. here complimetary breakfast was a joke. It was the worst hotel I have ever been to. stay away!!
