Conveniently Located

Posted Jul 22, 2014
Pros: Very clean. Lots of parking. All rooms are on ground level. Very quiet. Complementary breakfast.
An older hotel, but in pretty good shape and very clean. Staff is very nice. Very conveniently located near Ocean City, NJ and about a half hour from Cape May. Very quiet location. Lots of restaurants nearby.

Always a pleasant stay here!

Pros: I like the convenience of being in the hub at the shore. Close to Sea Isle, OC and Strathmere.
Cons: Making all rooms NON-SMOKING!
Location: There is an amazing pizza place on the corner called Kirks. Best wings ever! The entertainment selection nearby is also top notch.
I have stayed here several times in the last 6 months and the staff are exceptional. The rooms are always very clean and fully stocked.

Don't stay here.

Pros: Proximity to the ferry and GSP.
Cons: D├ęcor, cleanliness, price.
Location: Very convenient access from GSP. We had dinner at a cute local restaurant-which was very enjoyable.
This was such a disappointment for us. We paid a high price to stay over-night because we wanted to be close to the ferry. The room was dirty-the rug needed to be vacuumed and the bathroom floor was visibly dirty. Very old fixtures-some missing near sink in bathroom. Could hear the neighbors television set as if it was in our own room. The room smelled like insect spray. Very limited breakfast-but was ok since it is listed as a continental breakfast. Pool lounge chairs broken. The bed was comfy-but I was worried about the cleanliness of the linens-since the overall room was dirty. My husband had to get extra towels from the office. I think I said enough!

close to the beach

Posted Jul 6, 2014
Pros: it is close to ocean city, but away from the oc crowd. also i have family that lives close by.this hotel also fits my budget
Location: this hotel is very close to ocean city nj, it is also close to garden state parkway, which will take you to any shore destination
the pool was a little cloudy, but on the good side it was not OVER clorinated. the room was comfortable enough and the price was good for me.get your ice fairly early though cause the ice machine is in the lobby and they lock the doors.

We got there an hour and a half past the check-in time and our room wasn't ready. When they finally gave us our room, we walked in and there was food everywhere and the beds were un-made. It took the staff another 15 minutes to get us another room.

Basic, clean hotel a short drive from the beach

Posted Jun 16, 2014
Pros: The location. Close to the beaches and 15 min from Cape May at a reasonable rate.
Cons: The bathrooms are dated and could use some updating.
Location: Corsons inlet state park was a great find by accident. Ocean City, Wildwood, and Cape May are all close by.
My room was clean and had a comfortable bed/pillows. It is a dated hotel but good for the price. The staff was very accommodating as we showed up 2 hrs before check in and our room was ready. It is nice that they have a microwave, refrigerator and an iron in each room. The pool looked nice but we did not swim during our stay.

Inexpensive hotel near Ocean City, New Jersey

Posted Jun 9, 2014
Pros: Inexpensive
Cons: Towels
Location: Ocean City, NJ (with boardwalk, rides, food, etc.) and beach, which costs $5 per head per day.
For an EconoLodge, this was cleaner than most. Just over the bridge from Ocean City. All things being equal, paying under $100 was great considering all the hotels IN Ocean City were over $200. Hotel service was fine, housekeeping is very friendly. There is an outdoor pool open 8-8. Didn't have breakfast, although the usual donut/cereal/toast were available. AC worked well in room. Towels feel like they have been used 4 billion times, but that is nothing new for a bottom-scale hotel.
