Great alternative to classic hotel in Athens

Pros: The spacious room and nice bed.
We choose this place to do some shopping in the surroundings in our last day in Greece. It is well located for this purpose near The Mall and other shopping centers, is far away of the touristic area and you need to consider a budget for taxis. The apartments are clean and spacious, comfortable bed and the staff is helpful and friendly. For business and shopping the facilities are excellent at very affordable cost.

Rooms were fine......Nothing fancy. We were happy with the rooms and cleanliness. Air conditioner was great!

Pros: Pool.......breakfast......location
We were there for a wedding and we had several rooms. The pool was a nice feature as well as breakfast. Cordial staff. Showers tile needs some grouting but overall was pleased. Thanks! I would come back again. Also, thankful for parking too!

The hotel provided a good overnight stop. It was very difficult to find and we were placed on the 3rd floor and the lift did not work in the morning.The hotel closed the swimming pool for a childrens party, this was in 30 deg heat and not acceptable. the noise fro the party was very loud and went on until after midnight.Overall not impressed and would not use again.

Very clean and well managed

We needed a hotel somewhat near the airport, but also accessible to Athens. This hotel is a 10 minute walk from the metro station that took us right to The museums and the Acropolis. It was also fairly near to the airport without getting into the super-expensive airport hotels. The hotel was very clean and well run. The only thing to be aware of is that there is not much to do in neighborhood surrounding the hotel. But for us, that was an advantage since it was quiet and residential.

My stay at Civitel was simply the worst experience ever! I arrived at the hotel, walked in the room and despite having asked for a non smoking one, it stunk of smoke! The smoke was coming from another room (through the air con or the balcony, not sure) but still, awful experience as you walk in a hotel room! I left my case in the room and visited the toilet, as you do after a long trip! Now, that was another experience that I was not expecting from a hotel that cost me 90EUR a night! Nearly ALL the floor tiles were cracked, flush not working, shower area was full of mould around the corners and the toilet seat broken! As it was too late, I went to bed not having the energy to complain. THE SECOND day, I was away all day. When I came back, I asked for the manager, who was not available and promised to get back to me. A guy called me from reception, after I explained the situation, he told me in a very cheeky way that I should have spoken to him from the very first day when I walked in the room! As if this is what you want to do after a long journey. What is more, during breakfast, one of the serving ladies started making rude comments about me ordering some coffee not available on the menu (available at the hotel though at an extra price) not knowing I can speak Greek! To CUT THIS SHORT, uncomfortable beds, smelly room, dirty bathroom, rude staff. Full credit to the maint. guy and a reception girl (Vasiliki), genuinely upset about my experience. good hotel for a night sleep if you had dinner

a nice hotel, nice people, but not in a very active part of the city. Food was not good and a very limited menu (like a bar menu). about 10 min walk from a trainstation and nice Mall.
