“Good Value”

We didn't want a lot of high priced extras, just a good place to rest. This was fairly priced, clean, quiet, no smoky smell, and close parking. Will stay there again.

“Great Place”

This is a nice place to stay. Everything is clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here next time. They had a very good, basic breakfast. The highway in front of the hotel can get noisy in the early hours but the AC / heater can drown it out, so for me it was not a problem. Great view. I had work at Sawyer Airport and the trip from the hotel to the airport was only about 20 minutes.

“Not Impresses”

Clean, dated rooms were dark. Please wash the windows. Close to trail along lake for hiking or biking. Two sinks in the room was convenient.

“Adequate and inexpensive”

Staff was friendly. Room was adequately clean but not "spic and span." Ice machine was in the main building rather than one in each building. Nice location being across the street from Lake Superior.

“Needs updating but not bad for the price.”

The rooms need some serious updating. The bathroom fixtures, furniture, and decor are just plain OLD!!! Other than that things were fine. This hotel might be good for large groups, especially those interested in outdoor activities like biking, skiing or snomobiling. Our room was fairly large with a good sized entryway with lots of room for jackets and gear. There is an upstairs meeting room with a great view overlooking Lake Superior. The bike/snomobile trail goes right past across the highway from the hotel. The continental breakfast didn't have much to choose from.

“Not impressed”

Our room had a terrible odor upon arrival, as did the hallway. The bedspreads were both covered with dog hair. After complaining at the office, we were given a room on a different floor, which was acceptable.
