“Rooms too noisy and worst wireless connection ever.”
We´ve stayed at Hivernage from 26.11 to 02.12 and were not impressed about general hotel services. We were on the 5th floor and could hear the guests in room 604 walk on heals and each time they´d drop things on the floor; this went on almost every night. The sound isolation system is poor. The wireless system was the worst ever. It went from very poor to idle. At first the reception said it was a one day problem, but it never got fixed. The staff despite being friendly were at times messed up and services would at times take very long (toilet paper missing in the room; city maps at reception; plates at breakfast, etc...). We wondered whether the hotel should be a 5 star. It is a good 4 star hotel, but not more than that. Location was very good and the spa services were very good. The restaurante La Table du Marche is very good. However, you can enjoy that, the spa and the good location staying in another nearby hotel for the same or similar room rate, but better overall services.
“Gorgeous, great spa”
We really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Hivernage and Spa. Close enough to the medina, great staff in the pool/bar/spa. Highly recommended---although don't ask for change (or anything else) at the front desk.
“NO running water; ANTS all over the floor”
During our second night there, we noticed an ARMY OF ANTS crawling around the floor near the bed. We spent 30 minutes trying to "remove" them. We contacted the front desk about this issue, but they did nothing about it. Also during that night, we realized there was NO RUNNING WATER. We thought it would only last a couple of hours, but no, it lasted until the next morning at checkout. With the 100 degree heat, it would've been nice to enjoy a shower of two. We complained during checkout the next moring, but the staff was not at all concerned. They said that nothing could be done because only the manager would have the ability to address the issue. They lied and told me the manager was not on site. After a few more minutes of haggling, the manager mysteriously appeared. Unfortunately, he was even more lackadaisical than his staff. He told me that notices had been handed out in advance warning guests of the situation. NO - we did not receive any such notice! He then said that the water had since been turned on. Unfortunately that didn't help us, considering we were already checking out and about to miss our flight! The Hivernage staff does not excel in customer service. I couldn't believe that we didn't have access to running water. However, I was more disappointed with the way the hotel staff mishandled the matter. I am very disappointed and would not recommend this hotel to anyone. You would have finer amenitities in a Medina riad for a fraction of the price.
“Rooms were good, staff friendly, food was so so”
The hotel rooms were great in a good location, I just would not eat in the hotel
“Will definately go back”
You are in heaven in this hotel, if you can succeed to avoid staff indiscretion in the SPA (asking personal questions). it is part of the culture. The service is excellent and very fast.
“An oasis in Maroc”
The Hotel Hivernage has the most helpful staff I have ever experienced. the front desk helped me contact local tourist services, change my flights and secure reservations. The breakfast buffet was very good and the pool service and food were quite pleasing. My room was large, well furnished with a balcony overlooking the Medina.
“very pleasant stay. outstanding staff”
excellent
“Good experience in Hevirnage Hotel”
The hotel is small but very good. It's very close to the Madena (the old city) but ask for the direction before you move. The rooms are very clean and the staff is very helpful. The Spa was not very good, heated swimming pool was not warm enough; the Hamam was very hot so I can not stay for more than 10 min. the massage was very poor, Spa services are very expensive compare to other Spa from all over the world. The overall experience was very good, I recommend this hotel for all travelers, you will enjoy Marrakech through this hotel.
“Nice to stay”
The location was good within the walking distnce to Medina. Although the receptionists were not kind enough, house keepers and concierges were nice and helpful. The hotel equipmnt such as bedside lights and a hair drier were not working probably due to poor maintennce. However, cleanlnss concerned, it is fine. As for the spa, it was a bit confusing without any good instructions on where to wait and go. The restaurant was excellent. Overall, I was quite satisfied.
“Luxurious and Comfortable”
Great location, wonderful staff, and great accomodations. My only complaint is that the bed was a little worn and that they dont have individual room air conditioning (meaning if the whole hotel has the heater on, you cannot get your room to have cool air come in). I would definitely stay here again as the breakfast was excellent (it is a MUST to buy the breakfast included package) and it was only a short taxi drive to all the major sites.
