Great hotel but price a bit high for what you get

Posted Jul 19, 2014
This is a great hotel to relax by the pool in with a drink. I feel it was a little pricey. You can get a hotel just as good for about half the price. I did. But for those who have lots of money. You can stay here.

Gorgeous hotel, great pool and relaxation

Posted Jun 15, 2014
Cons: The cost of alcohol in the hotel is quite high.
The hotel was really nice, and even better than I expected, considering it wasn't really expensive. Really nice hotel - great food, and really nice pool area. Big room and large bathroom. Close enough to the main Marrakech, but quieter. Pacha is a walk away. Nice relaxing stay. Good for families, couples, and friends wanting to chill out.

Magical experince.

Me and my husband have a lot of great time staying in this hotel. The location was good, far enough from the city centre, but shuttle was available, there was a supermarket and a shopping mall nearby ( 5-10 minutes walk), the hotel itself showed a Moroccan culture and style, the room is very spacious and clean, the pool is big to accommodate more guests, all staff were very friendly and accommodating, and there's a wide variety of breakfast buffet. Thank you Sherif ( hotel concierge), for a wonderful experience of Marrakesh. Also thank you to Abdulatif ( tour guide and driver ), who showed us the Morrocan culture, food, Berber village and brought us to the Atlas mountain. To the young bloke who guide us climbing up the mountain.... thank you as well. It was such a fantastic experince. It would be better if the hotel will add more shuttle time going and coming from the city centre.

Nice hotel, conveniently located

Good access to the medina, staff very friendly. It would have been nice to have an entertainment group for the children as the hours in the pool were quite boring. Pool Water should be climatised. Spa prices very expensive. Other than that great experience!

Nice hotel and good staff

Posted Apr 27, 2014
Pros: The pool and sunbeds are nice; easy to go for a run (2 miles round the block or 5 miles loop).
Cons: We were given the yellow wristbands that for no alcohol but we were served fine and we only realised on our last day.
Location: 10m taxi from city centre and airport. Can even walk (~2 miles)
Our room was on the ground floor facing inwards (pool view). Great size room and king size bed (actually two double beds sheeted together). The staff was ever so helpful. The rooms furthest from reception are by the pool which is only a 2 min walk if that.

nice hotel, shame about Expedia

Posted Apr 26, 2014
Pros: The hotel was pleasant, clean and the staff were attentive. The hotel facilities were very good as were the restaurants.
Cons: Co ordination between Expedia and the Hotel must be improved.
Location: Out of town but the centre was accessible by free hotel shuttle bus with access to the Souk, main square and areas of interest.
When we arrived at the airport we waited around two hours at the airport to be collected by Expedia (Sahara Tours apparently) who did not turn up. Having contacted the hotel they were not aware that we were there and sent a member of staff with a cab. We were also told that the Marrakech international sports car and Formula 2 race was underway from 11th to 13th April and that the circuit enclosed the hotel which was not accessible so it was necessary for us to be housed in the hotel Kech which was a nice hotel but small. Had Expedia advised us of this situation beforehand we would have reconsidered our holiday commitments and reorganised our stay elsewhere, as it was we had no alternative but to continue with our stay. We` arrived on the saturday and finally had a room in The Kenzi Menara Palace hotel late monday afternoon after walking to the hotel via scaffolded footbridges with racing cars speeding beneath. The hotel did upgrade us to fully inclusive and did arrange a tour to the Atlas mountains at there cost which was appreciated. Having booked a 7 day holiday to relax we finally had tuesday to saturday morning in the hotel of our choice.

Exceeded our expectations

Pros: Large rooms, all inclusive, super restaurants, great location, fantastic service, loads of space, wonderful pools, great for kids, quality guests
Cons: Nothing worth mentioning
Location: Loads to do. Hotel arranges everything: Marrakech old town - Souks/Market, Camel rides, new town, Atlas Mountains, laze by the pool.
What a find. Probably shouldn't be writing this because I would like this hotel to remain the best kept secret that it is. We are a family of four (two girls aged 6 and 3). We wanted a warm and sunny holiday for the Easter school break. We looked at all the usual destinations - where all the families go at Easter - and found them to be expensive, booked up and with terrible flight times. Abandoning the idea of a beach, I suggested we take the girls somewhere 'different' so that they could have a 'cultural experience' instead. Marrakech was a perfect fit: warm, sunny, very interesting, less than half the price of places like Tenerife, short flight from UK etc. I booked a hotel that looked decent and had a pool. It didn't look like it was in an ideal location for exploring the city but I thought let's just go for it. When we arrived we were amazed at how wonderful this hotel was and how it suited our needs perfectly. What an amazing find. We had the best holiday, far better than we could have hoped for. We went for 7 nights and thought that would be more than enough for Marrakech - it wasn't long enough. We will go back next year for longer.

It was my first time in Morrocco and I really enjoyed it. I really loved the restaurants. I meet a few people from London.Next time, I will try to go to Casablanca.
