DisappointingPosted Aug 8, 2013
Pros: Bathroom and checking out!!!!
Cons: The pool, the standard of the room, mini bar and the breakfast!
Extremely underwhelmed, not sure what was superior about our superior room, this is a basic 3 star at best. Swimming pool was actually a pigeon pool that we would not use, the filter was full off pigeon feathers!!this hotel is very over-rated. Do not recommend the restaurant either, also very over-rated. Disappointing...

Clean, Comfortable and LOUDPosted Jun 10, 2013 on Hotels.com
A good stay overall, but street noise is tough to take unless you're really tired. At the intersection of two major city roads that horns are constantly blaring. Staff and bar are great however!

OK for MarrakeshPosted Jun 10, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hamam isn't worth doing especially in the heat of Morocco. The food is ok and the rooms are clean. It's Marrakech which is full of fumes from taxis and motorcycles so one must consider you're I'm a developing nation. That being said the people are amazingly friendly ...the staff here is the same. The neighborhood here is one for a traveler not a tourist. The restaurant Fazi is half a block down the street which is the best moroccan food in Marrakech...me and my son ate there 2 nights in a row. We had just finished the Camino Frances (500 mile hike in Spain) and Marrakech was a pleasure. The people are a diverse mixture of old and modern culture and we loved the experience..but its not necessarily for a tourist...one must be willing to discover the culture of the people.

Sanctuary!Posted May 12, 2013
Pros: The staff are lovely, Husain is a credit to the hotel (on reception) everyone friendly, very helpful. Cleanliness. Nice room. Wifi. Fridge.
Cons: Lack of space and privacy to 'chill out' around pool area, only 4 uncomfortable sun loungers, annoying pigeons using pool as birdbath. £££ drinks.
Location: Great location, tourist bus stop just across road. Near to train station. 1mile from medina (taxi about £3) many shops, cafe's, banks. Airport 20 mins
Nice clean established hotel, an oasis of calm in the madness of marrakech! Brilliant views from the rooftop bar. Staff are friendly, efficient and helpful, security on entry. Rooms are of a good size, air con, nice bathroom. Overlooking busy streets towards mosque and medina (about a mile away) soundproof doors, and blackout curtains. Personal safe, fridge, comfy beds. Balcony. Breakfast is buffet style, cheese, breads, pastrys, fruits etc. fresh orange & coffee. Small rooftop infinity style pool about 1m deep, with little privacy space to bask in the sun. (open to public dining/sky bar) Hammam & basement bar. Great location for sightseeing, modern design, good value. Stayed a week. Happy :) Good for singles, couples, groups & business travellers.

OK hotel but think one could find a better onePosted Apr 20, 2013
Pros: Location, good English
Cons: Very bad service
Location: Very good location in Gueliz; the European district
I would probably not rate this hotel as 4 *, there didnt appear to be any air conditioning despite there being an old fashioned thermostat on the wall; the fridge was REALLY hot and didn't keep the minibar drinks cold (I rather begrudged paying £4 (equivalent) for a warm can of coke), and no vanity kit was provided - in all previous stays in 4* hotels cotton buds, shower caps and razors have been provided. The rooftop bar was ok, but expensive, there werent really any other people up there so there was no atmosphere but the view was nice. La Pazza (breakfast restuarant), and the pool were also ok at best. There were very many pigeons around the pool and subsequently a lot of poo around the edge of the pool. Breakfast was very good though, consisting of cold foods. La Brasserie served good food but had terrible service. We were generally ignored, then overcharged and on the three occasions we ate there the staff decided to keep the change as a tip. The reception staff were friendly and spoke good English, the cleaners came every day and mostly replenished our consumables (except soap). The location was good; 10 minutes from McDonalds, 10 minutes from the supermarket Acima, 30 minutes from Djema El Fna. I wouldnt recommend this hotel as I think you could get better service at a better price in Marrakech.

Convenient location to train station and isightsPosted Apr 19, 2013 on Hotels.com
I thought the hotel was clean comfortable. We did not get a chance to have breakfast on the top of the terrace which has a spectacular view of the city. The staff was not overly friendly, which is a shame as I feel that if you are in the hotel industry this is a given. A simple smile would have nice. We recommended this hotel to another couple and we later found out their experience with the staff was similar. We just did not feel welcome. I do like the venue as it was convenient.

Just a OK hotel! No more than that!Posted Apr 1, 2013
Pros: The location
Location: Good location, if u not that lazy u can walk to Jemaa al Fna... about 40 min.
The hotel is ok....staff not that helpful, I asked for a iron and they didn't have one, couldn't believe, a so called four star hotel don't had a iron for a guest? Breakfast just ok too... I wouldn't recommend to a friend....

This hotel is located in the heart of Marrakech. Within walking distance of places to see and eat. Staff are extremely friendly. I can not fault this hotel. Will definitely stay there in future.
