Excellent hotel set in well-manicured gardens

Posted Jul 20, 2014
The N'Fis is well appointed, set in peaceful and well-maintained gardens and only a 10 minute taxi drive from central Marrakech. Taxis are frequent and cheap (25 to 40 Dirhams; unless you come across the smirking cabbie who tried - unsuccessfully - to extract 70 from us!). The hotel staff are cheerful, helpful and courteous and speak several languages although French is a universal. The rooms are air-conditioned, well-cleaned and adequately spacious. The swimming pool is a high point in being large-ish, spotlessly clean and of a high standard. There were no raucous children running around shouting ...... but maybe we were just lucky. On a second visit to Marrakech we would aim for this hotel again.

Lovely pool, friendly staff, good breakfast!

Posted Jul 12, 2014
Pros: The friendliness of the staff, it's also peaceful with pretty gardens and a brilliant pool. Good for families I think.
Cons: Food at times was a bit basic, but we had a nice buffet breakfast every morning and then a very simple lunch by the pool.
Location: You're well placed for the Medina and everywhere really.
I was there with my three teenage children. We had a very relaxing, comfortable week in this hotel, although we did go out to eat in the evening as there was only a buffet or bar snacks available in the hotel during Ramadan. This was no hardship though! The staff were lovely, the rooms really comfortable and clean, beds very cosy. Nice gardens too, and the pool was very well cared for, a lovely design and a good size.

hotel 3* not 5*

Posted Jul 10, 2014
we stayed at this hotel for 3 nights, the staff were lovely, the hotel itself is quite tired, the room was ok but the bed was possibly the most uncomfortable bed i've ever slept in. We didn't eat at the hotel as we were advised it was over priced so i am unable to comment on food, although the inclusive breakfast was good there was a wide variety. It's a nice convenient short stay near the airport. beware though the wifi never works!

Dear Cans, I’d like to thank you for sharing with us your feed-back regarding your stay at Le Meridien N’Fis hotel. We are so delighted to know that you have appreciated the staff, breakfast and location. We have noticed your dissatisfaction regarding the WiFi and the bed provided that was not comfortable, but be sure that both of those issues could be solved once you’ve called the duty manager. We look forward to welcome you back to Le Meridien N’Fis for another trip. Best Regards. Omar BENJELLOUN Director of Sales & Marketing

Excellent Hotel, friendly staff in prime location

Posted May 31, 2014
Pros: Staff, location, facilities and cleanliness, almost everything
Cons: Room furniture not well maintained and can improve with little effort!, beds are fine and comfortable, room and bathroom clean.
Location: The old city of Marrakech is within 30 min walk or few min by taxi (rate 20-30 dirham), obviously the old city is a must see.
Mostly positive, actually excellent experience, the hotel is spacious with large beautiful and well maintained gardens, very friendly and helpful staff, almost all speak some English and fluent in French, eager to help and always smiling ... Located on a wide modern "French-like" avenue (Mohammad VI) near to both the old and new city (30 min walk or 5 min by car). Generally quite and relaxing, you can only hear the guests/staff chatting and the birds singing! ... Swimming pool large enough, very clean and served by a restaurant and bar with reasonable menu choices and excellent fast service. There are 3 restaurants and a bar, serve various meal and drink choices, mostly Moroccan cuisine, French and Italian pasta/pizza. The breakfast buffet is again varied and good clean quality and service is excellent as always in this hotel ... Highly recommended, thinking of going again.

Great location

Posted May 21, 2014
Pros: Location and friendliness of staff.
Cons: Bar shut too early and seemed to frown upon a group of girls wanting a night cap at midnight. Rooms a bit tired could do with an update.
Location: Very close to getting in and out of the Medina - 50 diram for a taxi of 5 and felt very safe.
Hotel staff all very accommodating, especially the concierge who managed to get us great tables at the best restaurants. We were on a tennis trip and the coach couldn't have been better. Water on ice by the court every morning and great coaching - all amazingly included in the price of the hotel booking!

My stay in morocco

Posted May 2, 2014
Pros: The surroundings were very attractive along with the decor of the hotel. The staff were also very good.
Cons: The corridors could do with a lick of paint. The restaurants should all be open and the spare beds for the rooms need to be much more comfortable.
For the most part the hotel was lovely with very pleasant staff and surroundings. However, I do have a hew quibbles. Firstly, we booked a room for three adults and had to pay extra. When we arrived the third bed had not been set up and had to request it again. The staff were prompt in setting the bed up however the quality was horrendous. A frame and sheets were made up but was missing a mattress and was impossible to sleep on, the first night ended with three adults sharing a double bed (granted, it was a large double bed). Thankfully the next day the staff did rectify this although I still would't praise the quality of the bed as it was still hard. When looking at the website we were under the impression that there was a larger selection of restaurants to choose from within the hotel however, it would appear as though one was closed. Only the Moroccan themed restaurant and the pool side buffet were open on our visit. This wasn't too much of a problem as there are a few places to eat close by the hotel. Lastly, I was disappointed with the lack of iron in the room. For a five star hotel I would expect to see one. Other than that the rooms were kept clean and bottled water was provided every morning and evening in the room which was a nice touch. The staff were friendly and the hotel was in a good location.

Comfortable hotel not too far from centre

Posted Apr 23, 2014
Pros: Breakfast included. Air conditioning worked well. Looks good
Cons: Some staff need to smile. Breakfast slow in replenishing basics. In room safe should be secured in wardrobe, not loose on shelf.
Location: Just outside the main walls. Walk, taxi or horse drawn carriage available. Square best at night. Bahia palace spectacular. Good trips to Atlas mtns.
The hotel was good, but nothing special. Some staff seemed unhelpful, others just the opposite. Walkable distance, about 15 minutes, from centre and main attractions.

Lovely hotel located in calmer part of Marrakech

Posted Apr 19, 2014
Lovely hotel located within walking distance of Medina (20-25 minute walk). Buffet breakfasts were incredible with a vast choice ranging from freshly baked pastries to fresh breads and cheeses. Staff are very friendly and helpful, language barrier didn't appear to be much of an issue. Gym facilities available though it did not have any AC so it was seldom visited by us during our stay. Hotel grounds were beautiful full of flora, lovely to walk around. Would highly recommend!
