lovely hotel, and in a perfect positionPosted Nov 29, 2013
Pros: It is so friendly, without exception the staff were helpful and cheerful. I loved the Marroccan feel about the hotel with the tiles and drapes etc,
Cons: nothing really!
Location: Perfect location , easy 1 minute walk into the Medina, tourists buses or carriages, but only 20 mins from airport
we went for a 5 day break, to enjoy some winter sunshine and learn about Marrocco . We had no idea where about to go, but we ended up in this lovely hotel, that was so perfectly situated near the main square of the Medina, we could walk easily everywhere. It felt like a total oasis in amongst the chaos of the city, at night it was very quiet . I would definitely recommend this highly. I have given 4 stars for facilities, only because one of the pools was being cleaned, so was out of use, but it did not diminish our enjoyment at all, as there are 2 other pools, especially the very warm one on the roof terrace which was great to sunbathe beside. The piano bar was a great place to relax in the evenings, after dinner in one of their restaurants, either marroccan or indian/asian ( we also ate out, and the reception staff were very happy to book this for us too). Our room was very spacious with 2 toilets/bathrooms( bliss!) and a sitting area, every day the maids had decorated our bed with rose petals in different designs. Really a wonderful relaxing break, did not want to come home!!

A great hotel in MarrakechPosted Nov 5, 2013
Pros: 5* hotel, beautifully appointed with large garden and pool. Probably the best position in Marrakech for access to the main sites of interest.
Location: Perfect location-walking distance to all main sites of interest You have to have a strong stomach to visit the tanneries
Fabulous position only 200 metres from the main square with access to the souks

Great Hotel, relaxing, a min away from the main sqPosted Oct 16, 2013
Great stay. This hotel has 2 swimming pool (one in the central courtyard and one on the roof) so you'll be sure to catch plenty of sun all the day long. It's on the west part of the Medina, a min away from the Central plaza Djemaa Al Fnaa. Clean hotel and very relaxing.

Pros: Location, food and pool
Cons: Some (but only some) less than friendly staff
In general this hotel is amazing! We had a beautiful patio room and the location could not be better. Generally the staff were fine (with a few really lovely and helpful staff), but I would echo the sentiments of some other reviewers who've found the reception staff less than friendly and our airport transfer back to the airport was not arranged properly and we were therefore late getting to airport (it was fine on the way out). Generally, hotel, location, food all amazing and would definitely recommend to friends.

Great hotel, pity about the awful cityPosted Aug 2, 2013
Pros: The pool on the upper deck
Cons: The food in the restaurants
Location: Local was great if you wanted the souks and the mosque
The hotel was an oasis in what was an awful experience in Marrakech. We found the locals to just be after your money and were harrassed very badly when we went out even to the point where my wife was "roughed" up by locals and I had my life threatened as I did not want to pay them money for something which we didn't even ask for. The local people see tourists as a total money ticket and I would not recommend Marrakech to anyone, especially families with small children. The Souks were like China-town, nothing of value that was local and just full of mass produced Chinese goods. One also didn't feel that you could even go in due to the harrassment. The hotel on the other hand was an oasis from the stink and chaos which was outside. It was welcoming, friendly and facilities were fabulous. I would highly recommend it and was literally 4mins walk from the main square and the mosque. I would question though whether it is truly 5*, more like 3.5* in Western standards. Things were very clean but you could see where maintenance was not kept up i.e. fountains in pools not working, pool decks not sanded, taps in bathroom coming off walls. I would also not rate the food in the restaurants, very bland and not a lot for what you are paying. But with this said the hotel in itself was just lovely, especially on the upstairs pool deck. In future will go to a more tourist friendly country... this just didn't even come close

Great escape from the mayhem of MarrakechPosted Jul 26, 2013
Pros: Luxurious, variety (of pools, restaurants etc) Great atmosphere
Cons: perhaps more information on "things to do" could be provided on request
Location: Great location, 1 minute walk from Djema El Fnaa which everyone needs to see
on arrival we were upgraded to a suite which was beautiful. 3 pools to use (+ extra in spa) and good restaurants to choose from. The Asian restaurant in particular was superb. Staff polite & efficient and had good fun with them. Really enjoyed coming back to the hotel after a day's sightseeing in the hot sun of Morocco. One comment I would make is that perhaps the front desk , although very helpful and polite in general, did not offer too much information on trips etc and touristy things to do which might have been useful... All in all though, an awesome stay in a beautiful hotel.

great location and beautiful hotelPosted May 16, 2013
Right close to the market - great location. The bed needed a new mattress but the room was beautiful and the staff was very helpful. The AC was having trouble keeping up with he 100f temperatures but overall I think anyone would love this great hotel

One of the most pleasing hotels we have stayed. Superb location right next to the souk; wonderful hidden garden with pool, very friendly service, good food. We needed help with a wheelchair and staff could not have been more willing and friendly.
