Chauffeur-driven golf buggies in British Racing Green with cream leather interiors take guests to the Golf Club. Designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr, this 18-hole, 72-par course features five lakes, a putting area and driving range. The shop sells branded sportswear and golfing accessories.

The Club Equestre offers riding lessons and treks around the Palameraie area for riders of all abilities. The spa houses an exercise room, where aerobics classes take place, and a squash court (lessons are on offer; racquets can be hired). There are five swimming pools, of which two are heated in winter, and a trio of clay tennis courts.

“Will go back because of a few very friendly staff members”

Mr. Ibrahim who manages the food services and a few doormen and a nice front desk young lady made up for the lack of interest that the rest of the staff showed in meeting the needs of their residents. Given that this is a five stars hotel, I expected a little extra effort from the hotel staff. Quick example: when we first arrived, we were told that the breakfast buffet that we paid for was not included for the duration of our stay. This was rectified once I showed them the reservation which took some time given that the wireless in the room did not work. After calling the front desk, I was told that it is in fact working and that they have not received any complaint from the wing we were staying at. I insisted on him sending someone to fix the Wireless connection and they did fix it. The next day it stopped working and I was told by staff members later on in the week that there were having technical problems with Wifi for a while. On the other hand, the amenities were fantastic: Great swimming pool, great golf course, Great spa, gym and indoor pool, beautiful gardens surrounding the swimming pool but the red clay tennis courts need a lot of work. I have eaten lunch at the pool twice, the first time was fantastic but the second time the waiter was rude and very nonchalant. Overall experience was good, I spent the first day of my stay dealing with the front desk but the rest of the stay was very relaxing.

“Will not stay at this hotel again”

I took my work with me, yet the hotel WIFI never worked. Calling the front desk, they simply wanted to get rid of me, making excuses as such " there is a problem with WIFI service in the city. I had to use the business office that was open from 8 AM - 11 PM. so if you got to the hotel late at night, just forget gaining access the Internet. The hotel general manager was wonderful. He did his best to resolve some of our problems, yet several of these were outside his control, including the front desk staff being habitual liars. He offered us free dinner at our choice restaurant. The hotel restaurants are wonderful and they are 5 star.
