Wonderful Riad

Posted Oct 31, 2014
I loved my stay at Riad al Badia. Great location, easy 10-15 minute walk to Jemma al Fna. Beautiful riad with amazing breakfast! Room and bathroom were spotless. Laurent and his team couldn't possibly have been kinder or more helpful. Lovely place with lovely people. Would stay here again in a heartbeat, and highly recommend it to anyone.

Amazing customer service, great Riad

Posted Oct 30, 2014
Pros: Charming and Comfortable Riad Great Breakfast Amazing customer service
Cons: The wi-fi was OK but not brilliant and there was no signal on the terrace or sun terrace
Location: The location was good, 10-15 minutes walk to the main square and Taxi's were easy to come by if you wanted to go further afield.
My wife and I spent 3 nights at Riad Al Badia for her 40th Birthday. The Riad is charming, very comfortable and clean but the customer service offered by Laurent and his team are what really makes this Riad fantastic. Laurent was extremely helpful in answering our email questions before we arrived and nothing was too much trouble during our stay. Laurent took time to explain were everything was in Marrakech and the best sights to see - all the recommendations from Hamman to Restaurants to food stalls in the main square were spot on. Laurent also took the time to guide us in to the centre of town which meant there was no chance of getting lost on the way home which was greatly appreciated. Our room was great, really comfortable and clean. Breakfast on the terrace was a joy each morning and set us up really well for the day. We also ate one evening at the Table Al Badia and Samira produced authentic Moroccan food which was really tasty and the Moroccan wine to accompany it was much better than expected. I would thoroughly recommend Riad Al Badia - Laurent and his team will look after you really well.

Modern and very attractive riad in medina

Posted Oct 18, 2014
Pros: Location, decor and comfort
Cons: Remind guests chatting on roof terrace at night that other guests have rooms up there!
Location: Visit medina and square at its heart
Stayed for one night and well satisfied with quality of riad including excellent breakfast on roof terrace

Great Riad with friendly staff

Posted Sep 29, 2014
The riad was overall lovely to stay in. The staff couldn't do enough to help and the room was really comfortable just off the terrace. It was about a 10 minute walk to the main square which was actually a good thing as its great to escape the craziness of Marrakech after a day in the medina! Throughly recommend this Riad.

Unexpected surprise and jewel in the crown!

Pros: Everything, absolutely charming!
Cons: Bathroom access in our room was a little bit of a squeeze. Side street approach to hotel on unmade path.
Location: Good location
Excellent, faultless! Staff, Riad and location all perfect for a trip to Marrakech.

Relaxing and Calm

Posted Aug 8, 2014
The Riad was beautiful....liferally an oasis. The staff was amazing and saw to my every need and comfort. I felt like I was at home. They cared about my comfort and enjoyment. The breakfast provided for me, that was included with my stay, was more than I could enjoy. I felt like I was at a 5 star resort.

A cool oasis of comfort and calm in Marrakesh

Posted Jun 24, 2014
We had a wonderful stay at Riad Al Badia and would recommend it to anyone. The riad is beautiful and spotlessly clean, the rooms are cool and comfortable and the staff are more helpful, informative and generous than any we have ever encountered anywhere in the world. We were given a walking tour of the neighbourhood around to riad to ensure we always found our way home and the hotel manager helped with taxis, restaurant bookings and our fantastic day at Le Bains De Marrakesh. We would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Excellent service

We stayed here for one night on our return from Essaouira before flying to Turkey. We had previously stayed in Marrakech at a different riad. We had wonderful service from Laurent and his staff including provision of a full breakfast at a very early hour before we left to catch our flight. This was very unexpected and welcome. The rooms were ok but not as good as the other riads we stayed in, which, to be fair, were more expensive. They were quite dark and you needed to shut the window onto the walkway that went past the room if you didn't want people looking in as you slept. Fortunately the air conditioning was very good. The location was not as convenient as the other one we had stayed in. It was very hot (35 C) and it was very exposed walking in the sun some distance until we reached the cooler parts of the medina.

Wonderful riad in the Medina

Posted May 30, 2014
Pros: The riad was very pretty, spotlessly clean and staffed by warm and welcoming people. I even liked the 5am call to prayers at the nearby mosque.
Cons: ONLY the sound insulation between rooms which was slightly disconcerting during morning ablutions!
Location: The riad was in Berrima , a bustling residential area south of the medina and was full of life and colour. 20 minutes walk to the main square.
My daughter and I stayed at the Riad Al Badia for 3 nights in May and it was wonderful. The owner and staff were extremely helpful and made our stay a delight. The breakfasts were great and we had the best tagine of our stay on the terrace the night we arrived. The owner M Lawrence gave us lots of hints and tips for finding our way round and surviving the souks! He also arranged a trip to a riad just outside the city for a lazy day by the pool, which gave us a chance to see the more modern part of the city and the countryside around. Highly recommended.
