Great Riad, centrally located for city explorationPosted Jan 6, 2014
Pros: Great service, excellent location.
Cons: The room was a double/ large double not a suite.
Location: Close to all attractions- The main square, the souks and cash points as well as cafes and restaurants. Easy to get to from the airport and buses.
The hotel is a great little 'tardis' amongst the winding terracotta alleyways in Marrakech. A short distance (15min walk) from the main attractions, yet far enough out of the hustle and bustle. The hotel staff were extremely accommodating, arranging transfers to the bus station with the taxi driver collecting tickets in advance. The staff also allowed us to stay for the afternoon and even ran out to collect us some much needed lunch/ dinner. Amazing Moroccan breakfast included. Lovely, clean rooms with good facilities, beautifully decorated. The only qualm is the room booked was labelled as a suite- This wasn't what you would normally class as a suite- more a large room with some chairs and en suite, however, the place was so great we quickly forgot about the misclassification. All in all, superb value for money & would highly recommend to those looking for somewhere comfortable and safe from which to explore the red city: Great views of the palace.

Lovely place to stayPosted Mar 1, 2013
Pros: Smaller, guite place but close to the centre
Cons: In quite remote street but that was really not a problem
Location: Perfect location to visit sights of Marrakech
We had a lovely stay at Riad Calista. It is very pretty quite place hidden in a little street but very close to the main square and sights of Medina. The stuff was very friendly and served the best mint tea and superb dinners- their lamb tagine with cuscous was simply divine! I would recommend this place to stay if you are in Marrakech.

Recommended Riad in a Strange Part of TownPosted Feb 7, 2010
You will need a good map or a local child to show you the way, but this Riad has v friendly staff who run a lovely v quiet Riad and who serve amazing evening meals. You have your own personal area outside of the room (part of the internal courtyard) and inside the room is a further seating area and at no point are you really aware anyone else is staying there. You may be slightly perturbed by the fact the bathroom / toilet has no door, but this may be the reason for the courtyard seating area. Each room is different inside and the showers were excellent. Breakfast was free and was prepared fresh consisting of slightly different foods each day. The Riad is about a 20-30 minute walk(depending on your speed) from the main square, although the Rue de Kasbah itself contains many shops, tourist attractions and two restaurants before you reach the centre. It was a lovely place to stay and we would definitely recommend it. Transfers are provided on request, which is particuarly useful.
