“A wonderful escape”

From the moment we arrived until we departed, our stay at La Maison Rouge fulfilled expectations. The hotel was very well kept with a lovely courtyard and charming rooms. The rooftop had a nice patio with lounge chairs and breakfast was served up here in the sunshine. Fresh squeezed orange juice and mint tea were our favorite beverages. Location - It was a little bit difficult to locate - we got lost twice trying to find our way back the first night from dinner, but that is part of the charm of Marrakesh! It is tucked away off a little square, and is a 10-15 minute walk to the restaurants / souks for shopping. Will stay here again on our next visit to Marrakesh!

Shopping
When shopping in the Souks, make sure you take some time to explore the options - the same items are offered multiple times. Have an idea of how much you want to spend on something and what you feel is a fair price. The stall owners will quote you a high price - be prepared to haggle to get down to an agreeable price.
