The service at this Riad was impeccable. Abdoul and his team strived to ensure that we felt welcomed and that our needs were attended to. Even when there was a situation with our bathroom pipe in the wee hours of the morning, Abdoul made himself available to help clean up and move all our items to another room. The property is a bit hard to find when travelling by foot, especially at night, so I’m grateful that the hosts helped to organise taxis for our travels.

What you pay for is what you get. Should have paid more and stayed elsewhere. Abdoul was helpful however the rest of the staff lacked lustre. Don’t expect water in your room to drink, a working iron, room service or general facilities of a usual hotel. More like a hostel feel with groups coming and going from there. The pictures look nice however the service doesn’t make it as good as it looks

My sister and I stayed in this Riad and we honestly think it’s amazing for what you’re paying for. It looks good in pictures but it’s even better in person. The interior is very traditional but not dated. Also, the room that we stayed in was spacious and housekeeping was spot on. We would go out and have a really exhausting day and would come back to our room feeling relaxed as they are consistent with tidying up. However, it is a bit difficult to find the area especially if it’s your first time in Marrakech. Saying the name of your riad won’t really help since there’s a thousand of it in Marrakech. Therefore, you have to know which gate it is on. Riad Nabila is by Bab Tagzout (gate) if I remember correctly. Saying this to your cab/tuktuk driver would make it easier for them to locate the riad. This is something our lovely receptionist helped us with. The receptionist named Abdoul was extra helpful. The first night we arrived, he came and pick us up where the cab driver drop us off (since roads are narrow, some drivers won’t come in to the street where this riad is) so be mindful of that. Having said that, before leaving the riad, you can ask your receptionist to book you a cab if you’re going somewhere instead of just going out and finding your way and looking lost. A lot of teenage boys will insist on guiding you and then end up asking for money. So be careful. Overall, our experience in Riad Nabila was absolutely fantastic and would definitely come back again.

A haven of calm
Riad Nabila was a small haven of calm in a manic trip to marrakech. Staff were excellent, friendly and very helpful (a little easier if you speak French). Breakfasts were simple but delicious. The courtyard was pretty and charming, peaceful and a nice place to hang out. The room was charming, slightly crumbly walls but nothing upsetting. Bin hadn’t been emptied since last person, and sink was a bit grubby - but felt like if I was bothered enough to complain it would be fixed. Overall this riad felt like a safe place in an otherwise awful city.

Beautiful building, unfortunate location
This riad is quite beautiful; the architecture and decor were incredible but the bed was terrible and there were very old towels and bedding. No basic toiletries were provided. Breakfast each day was always some variation of a Moroccan pancake, a basket of bread and some small pieces of cake served with orange juice, coffee, and apricot and strawberry jams. I think this is a pretty standard Moroccan hotel breakfast and we really enjoyed having it in the quiet courtyard next to the small plunge pool. The atmosphere and garden in the courtyard is incredible. The staff were friendly but not very fluent in English or conversational. Like most of Marrakech, I think you'll have an easier time communicating with staff if you speak French. We are somewhat experienced travellers but this riad is located in a very challenging location to access. Taxi drivers could not drive us home at night because the streets are too narrow near the riad. We also had issues every day walking to and from the area without being trailed by pushy teenage boys trying to 'guide' us to our destination (often pointing to very circuitous routes). We were booked to stay here for 7 days but checked out after 3 nights, opting to move to a different area of Marrakech in a hotel with better access and basic amenities.

Good Price
We enjoyed our stay here. It was not expensive, so don't expect a 5 star experience, but it was what I would expect at this price level. We wanted to stay in the Medina, so that was good. The staff was nice and easy to deal with. We enjoyed the simple breakfast each morning.

Our stay in Riad Nabila
This trip was a late honeymoon for us and we could not have picked better. Marrakesh is a very busy and loud city and the riad nabila was our one place for tranquility and some quiet. The staff were always courteous and very helpful. The best statement I can make is that if I were to go again I would not hesitate to use the same riad.

Great Riad and area great if 2 people
Lovely place. Very kind and helpful manager and staff who do speak some English. They were also kind enough to make some phone calls for me as I wanted to go swimming. The breakfast of pancakes and bread and jam and very strong coffee and fresh orange was lovely. And it was quiet As others have said the Riad is about 2km north of the square, so you have to navigate your way through all the souqs to get to and from. Or a taxi.I think the area is very safe but as it was my first time in morocco and a single woman,I didn't feel confident enough at night. So I moved somewhere near the square to avoid the hassle. Which was lot more expensive But if you are 2 people you would be fine, and I think next time I would be happy to stay there

Beautiful hidden sanctuary
This is a gorgeous Riad - the photos are real! :) - with excellent service. Siad the evening attendant in particular was very helpful with advice and assistance. The location, like many in the Medina, is in an impossibly complex series of alley ways, which made getting in and out confusing and difficult. Please note as of this writing if you plug the address into Google maps your DO NOT GET THE CORRECT LOCATION - it's in the northeast of the Medina near 'Sidi Ghalem'. Try not to get ripped off too badly by cabs in and out - 30 dirhams is really enough for anywhere - if you can, get them to turn on the meter.

Good stay. Good Hotel. Not-so-good neighbourhood.
Wifi didn't reach my room. I asked if they could move the router a bit so the signal could reach my room - they didn't even try. Wifi connectivity and speed from shared area was very good. Enjoyed getting into the central pool - it was clean. The shared area is quiet and relaxing. Some lovely music by the pool in late evenings was very enjoyable. Neighbourhood is not too nice. I found that it was safe. But not close to clean and posh. The entrance is quite bad - but inside it is excellent. It is about 10 - 15 min walk to the "big square". They ask to buy water/alcohol from them and not bring in your own even for consumption in your room. Google Maps showed me two "Riad Nabila"s! The email I got for the booking did not have the right GPS co-ords! This Hotel is near "Bab Kechich". The other one which probably does not really exist is near "Bab Ghmat". Breakfast was okay because I'm not too fussy. Orange juice was great.

Wonderful! Would highly recommend. We arrived very late on our first night and had an amazing dinner at 1:30 am. The staff were very friendly and helpful and made us feel at home. The food is excellent! Our rooms were beautiful and very authentic. It is nice that the Riad is not in the heart of the medina as it is quite hectic there. The staff was very good at getting us taxis to the medina. Great place!

Wonderful little riad
Riad Nabila is an oasis of tranquility within Marrakech. A beautiful interior and great food. While it is true that it's a 10 or 15 minute walk to the souks, the wonderful and helpful staff and night-time quiet more than make up for this. Strongly recommended.

This hotel is lovely. Clean and comfortable. Staff are all super helpful. Only down side - and this is not a reflection on the hotel- is the area. It was difficult to get around we had to get taxis to it. Also as it is in a residential area there was not really an option to grab dinner outside the hotel easily. Saying that the hotel was fab, roof terrace is lovely and calm, breakfast was great and it was super clean.

Charming spot in the Medina
The Riad was the kind of accommodation I was looking for and the Nabila has been superb. Massive rooms decorated with typical Moroccan style, a bit chilli in the night though.. Beautiful garden with pool in the middle and sofas all around. Listening to relaxing Moroccan music after a whole day in the Medina makes you feel amused. Not quite impressed about the location. It is really hard to find and we experienced a bed episode with the taxi that left us close to it but we were basically lost as a group of guys took us to the Riad in exchange of money. It was very annoying because I didn't have enough change and we have been threatened every time we were passing by there. Overall very nice experience.

First time Marrakesh
We stayed there for week, ant this was the best place where i stayed ever. Place is beautiful, traditional, and allow for full immerse in Moroccan style. If you want to gather some really new experience of life i strongly suggest to stay there. Staff is really friendly and will help you with all your issues so just let them know. Also they will always give you good advise. Remember this is not European country so its good to have small chat with them to learn little bit about a place. VERY IMPORTANT!!! Location!!! If you are first time in Marrakesh transfer from airport is the MUST. Riads in Medina (old town) are really hidden and they are difficult to find in first place. Just charm of the city:) And its really easy to be scammed by Taxi drivers on airport. Trust me, you will save money, time, and you will avoid unnecessary stress. Driver who will be send will pick up you from airport, drive you to place. Last few meters probably you will have walk, depend how big car was used, and then entrance from the street don't look great, but believe me or not when you pass main doors you will be like in another world. Ordering diner its also good idea especially if you arriving late. That way you can just enjoy evening without worrying about anything. Just let know staff you need it and they will organize it for you. I really recommend this place to everyone and i cant wait to return there this summer.

Disappointing, and too far out
the rooms get very cold in the cooler months - the AC does not do enough for the room. The road is so far out from the rest of the medina that even taxi drivers are reluctant to take you there, particularly when the roads are narrower. The menu is not flexible at all, they only serve chicken and soup and can't make additional meals or snacks such as fries without 12hrs notice. It is the most hospitable riad in Marrakech - there are better ones that are closer to the centre.

Nice Riad but Inconvenient Location
We spent 4 nights at Riad Nabila in December 2014. It was nice, clean, tranquil but a little damp. Staff were very nice and helpful. Some older reviews talk about a woman named Samira. She is not there anymore. The new manager is nice. Breakfast was ok but could have been better. There was bread, honey, jam, butter, juice and coffee. It was not a buffet. I guess that's what you should expect considering the low tariff. Only major downside is it is nowhere close to major attractions. Google map says it is a 23 min walk from the central square. But for most tourists it would easily become an hour. Nearest place where you can get a taxi is also a 7 minute walk from Riad Nabila.

Nice riad but the location is an issue
This was a beautiful riad, with nice rooms and a refreshing plunge pool. However, I think it lacks some of the details that make it 'luxury'; for example, none of the showers (overall we stayed in three rooms) attach to the walls and the staff do not change your towels (after three days using the same towel for washing, swimming and sunbathing this was a bit annoying). The staff are lovely, especially Noureldeen and Latifa- they would do anything you ask of them. The manager, Samira, was very chatty although as a young women I found her fairly patronising; she was always asking what I paid for things and telling me I should do things differently. I guess this is pretty common in Morocco but it often made me feel uncomfortable. The location is the biggest issue with this riad. It is at least thirty minutes from the square, and not at all easy to find. It is such a hassle, I would definitely recommend staying somewhere closer to the centre. You can find equally charming riads at half the price, for example Riad Sagaya in Bab Doukala.

Oasis in the North of Marrakech
Let me just start off my saying that the Riad itself is beautiful, the rooms were spacious and beautifully decorated, and the staff was absolutely wonderful. I truly felt like I was in paradise. The only drawback was the neighbourhood. Pretty much every second person came up to us and asked for money, LOTS of children showing you the way and then expecting you to give them money. Personally I did not like this very much at all and it certainly tarnished my experience. Not to mention the square was difficult to find since there were countless amounts of little alleyways that got us lost. Compared to the other riad we stayed at, this was definitely a challenge to navigate. Riad great, location not so much.

Mean owners!
Very hard to find the hotel, even a taxi dirver. The moroccoan staff are good and responsible. However the French owners are very mean. They controled all of the bills and tried to rip you off. A few examples: we had been offered a taxi to airport for 200 dirham, but they wanted us to pay 20 euros (it equal about 220 dirham) to them not the taxi driver; our booking showed a tax of 9.26 euros, they charged 10 euros; in the sametime for refund of 7.9 euros, they will give you 7 euros. It was not big money, but made you unpleasant.

Avoid this Riad at all costs
This place was located in a dark alley, and was scary at night. Kids on the street know it's hidden location and will hound you relentlessly each day to guide you there. Worse still is that the site manager whose name is Samira, encouraged them even more instead protecting her guests. Don't even think about asking her for advice on anything as she is just as much of a crook as the rest of the kids in the Medina. It is a shame because the rest of the Riad itself is not bad. The breakfast is prepared by the Riad staff and they are very kind. Sumira should not be allowed to work there and tarnish the reputation of what should be a nice Riad. A sign indicating where it is on the street would also help.

Couples retreat in heaven
My Partner & I stayed here for a week, wanted something a bit different from the usual Egypt all inclusive, oh my we definitely got an eye opening experience. Firstly don't be put off by the location of the Riad you WILL spend the entire holiday lost despite intense map reading using an iphones compass & trying to read road names. The Riad was a peacefull sanctuary after a long day of walking around in the heat, cool off in the pool & get the last of the rays on the roof top sun loungers. We only had an evening meal in the Riad once but the food was delicious, a very traditional meal, peacefull sat by the pool lit by candle light. It reakky is as idyllic as the photos. The staff were so lovely & helpful. The lady who owns it is the BEST she is brilliant, she really thrives on making your holiday perfect, she will get you the best prices tailor everything to your needs, book everything for you and you really do get door to door service the entire holiday, Don't whatever you do hesitate to ask her.

Nice Riad in the Medina but hard to find at first
We enjoyed it. The staff were friendly and helpful. The accommodations were nicely furnished. While it looks like other Riads we had visited we liked this one the best. Better signage would help locate it. Walking the Medina to Place elf Jamaa is a challenge from the location until one knows their way (we were there two nights). I recommend this hotel but suggest arranging a taxi to get to and from the Jamaa.

Riad Nabila Marrakech
This is a good riad to stay in if you don't mind a bit of a walk from the main square. It took us about 20 minutes to walk from the riad to the square once we had figured out the route. It can be a bit confusing but we enjoyed walking through the residential neighbourhoods as it gave us a chance to see real-life Marrakech. The surrounding streets look a bit scruffy but are safe and well-lit. We never felt threatened or at all in danger, even walking round at night. The riad is beautiful and very quiet at night. I didn't once hear the dawn call to prayer. It was clean and tidy, though the mattresses were a bit hard. If you pay the lowest price you get the worst room - it's nice enough but has no window. Breakfast was fine and they did us a very early (6.10am) breakfast on the day we left. The staff are helpful enough but speak little English - this is relatively common anywhere you go in the city though. A little French goes a long way, Arabic even further!

Lovely riad in an inconvenient location
We arrived at Riad Nabila in the night-time fresh off a train journey from Casablanca. Our taxi was accompanied by scores of young boys on the street as our driver asked for directions to find the hotel in a narrow alley. After we managed to extricate ourselves from the young boys, we were greeted by Kareem and were very pleasantly surprised by the calmness and beauty of the interior of Riad Nabila. The reception area overlooks the courtyard with a lovely pool in the center surrounded by trees, a couple of lounging rooms and the dining room. Our room on the second floor was tastefully decorated with lovely furnishings and lamps. The room was impeccably cleaned everyday. Breakfast was decent and served in the lovely dining room. Caveat: a request for a second portion of bread at breakfast was surprisingly turned down. :) The location of the riad is a little inconvenient. It will take anywhere from 20 minutes to 1 hour to get to/from Jemaa El Fna depending on time of day and how well mis-directed you are on that day. :) Service at the hotel was generally very good, with one exception. On the night before we were scheduled to leave, we asked the hotel to call us a taxi for 7:30 A.M. the next morning to take us to the bus station. The taxi never arrived and the hotel staff seemed unable/unwilling to call us an alternate taxi to help us make our scheduled bus. So, we spent another couple of hours at the hotel, walked 20 minutes and found a taxi to take us to catch a later bus.
