Marsaille is awfulPosted Jul 10, 2014
Cons: Take this hotel off of Expedia especially for families
Location: We didnt stay long enough to do anything
I am very disappointed that Expedia would even have this hotel as a place to stay. It is not in a very good neighborhood and there is absolutely NO PARKING and hotel does not offer any. Very shady and felt very unsafe . We stayed one night out of our two nights and left. We were with our two young children and felt that we needed to go ASAP to get them out of harms way. Not a very nice city for family to visit.

Comfortable, clean and friendlyPosted May 16, 2014
Pros: The helpfulness of the staff and the welcoming, comfortable room. Good croissants!
Cons: Breakfast was slightly chaotic on our last morning when the croissants ran out and the waitress had to rush out to buy some more. Better planning?
Location: A little out of the centre but 15 mins walk and you are in Le Vieux Port so not a problem. Also tram and metro stops very close by. Good cafes nearby
We had an excellent stay and couldn't really fault it. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was very clean and comfortable, excellent bed and it was very quiet for a hotel. Good breakfast buffet. Highly recommended.

wonderful staffPosted Oct 27, 2013 on Hotels.com
the staff at this hotel are outstanding, helpful and capable. Great breakfast, cute rooms - although you will wonder where the bathroom is when you first get in there - its actually cleverly disguised as a cupboard. Its cute in the way pod hotels or japanese hotels are but its got the charm of france - i had windows that opened onto the street and which could be opened if i wanted. i liked that the aircon would cut off if the windows were open, the biscuits and great coffee left in your room and the ease of checking in and out.

Good Value for Vieux Port AdjacentPosted Oct 12, 2013 on Hotels.com
Recently renovated nicely appointed room. The room was very small (barely room to walk around the bed), otherwise it would be a 5. My husband and I managed to step around each other. I'm an interior designer and would say the room was extremely well designed to pack a lot in a very small space (beside table one side, integrated floating cubby night stand on the other side, a safe, minibar, plus a small armoir, desk/table, chair & ottoman. Full size, nice modern bathroom, Hansgrohe fixtures was nice. Location is a bit seedy but, looks like it in the gentrification process, close walk to the old port and the new museum. Pleasant staff.

Good value.Posted May 6, 2013 on Hotels.com
This hotel has obviously been recently renovated. The rooms are well appointed and have good amenities like mini bar, blow dryer, coffee machine, room safe, etc. the king bed was very comfortable, and the staff very friendly. The only negatives are the small size of the room and it's a bit of a walk to the old port, 15-20 min.

Best Western La JoliettePosted Feb 6, 2013
Pros: Location and how clean it is
Cons: non that I can think of
Location: within 10 to 15 mins walk from one of the great and must see areas of Marseille called Le Vieux Port "home to good restaurants such as La Cote Boeuf"
Staff very helpful and friendly. Especially the receptionist that works during the day. She was very smiley and helpful. Rooms are quite contemporary with a rather clean and good standard finish. The location is within 10 to 15 mins walk from one of the great and must see areas of Marseille called Le Vieux Port "home to many good restaurant including La Cote Boeuf for all the beef lovers". I would certainly return. Good value for money.
