Vehicle Elevator to parking garage is tight but possible for small SUVs. Location is about 10 minute walk from the port.

Good hotel, less good neighborhood
Posted Jan 8, 2012
Pros: cleanliness, friendliness
Cons: location
Location: okay in the daytime, but sketchy once the surrounding shops close
The hotel itself was nice, quiet and clean. We were able to watch the Olympics on TV, and the internet worked (the connection wasn't strong enough for wifi calling though). Conveniently, the staff we talked to spoke English, and we had no problems checking in or out. We didn't get the breakfast, so we cannot comment on it. However, the neighborhood was quite sketchy for two young women, which we didn't realize when searching for places to stay. The night we got there, we wanted to go out to a cafe to eat around 8pm (during the summer, so it was still light out). By this time, all of the surrounding stores and restaurants (save a few convenience stores) were closed, there was graffiti on essentially every door, and many suspicious people stared at us. A man outside the hotel yelled at us when we didn't give him change. We felt so uncomfortable that we bought some snacks at a convenience store and hurried back to the hotel. The next day, we made sure to get back earlier. Overall, we liked the hotel, but not the neighborhood.

Excellent for stop over & good breakfast, could do better with tea & coffee in rooms for multiple night stays !

Pros: It was in a good location.
Location: Complicated. Difficult to park or even stop to drop off luggage there.
Once you figure out the extremely complex and merciless parking garage/elevator system (and, most importantly, how to extricate your car from it, it is actually a decent hotel. A prior guest's half-finished bottle of water left in the hotel room was a bit of a bummer but the room was mostly clean. The breakfast (which they charged 4.90 Euros for) was nothing special but fine for people on the run. Finding the hotel would be extremely challenging were it not for our GPS system as it is more or less in the middle of a very old European city. Don't go home without it!

Great little hotel despite its location
Posted Jan 23, 2012
Pros: the room
Cons: the hotel location and surroundings
This is a great place for those on a budget, with high standard of clenliness and good size rooms. The food is more than adequate and the staff are generally friendly and helpfull. The only down side is the hotel's location, squeezed into a small corner of a rather run-down looking area. Parking is difficult (and expensive), with lifts and keys involved! And finding the hotel for the first time can be tricky... But once accustomed to the location this is a nice little place to stay, with very good value for money.... and it's quite near to some nice historical landmarks.

The room was small but comfortable and clean. The breakfast for 4.5 euros was a very good value because they had a nice selection of bread, juices, coffees, cereal, etc.
