“See you next month”

From the front desk personnel to the staff at the restaurant to the housekeepers, everyone associated with the hotel was professional, polite and extremely eager to make our stay perfect. The property is welcoming, beautifully maintained and wonderfully comfortable. It was a great mid-Winter retreat to a place most commonly associated with Summer.

“Just what we were looking for”

The Mansion Inn and Spa was a very relaxing experience. Our room was large and well appointed, the breakfast was excellent and the gym pool area was much better than I would have expected on the island. Everything is new though it is an old style Victorian house. This was our first stay in Vineyard Haven and it is a relaxing alternative to Oak Bluffs and Edgartown.

“Very nice & comfortable”

Beautiful Hotel. The only problem we had was no one told us it was a "dry town"! We couldn't even get a glass of wine in the restaurants. And when we checked in it was around dinner time and the young man that checked us in didn't tell us that we had to have reservations in all the local restaurants. So we couldn't find a place to eat or get a drink! The staff wasn't very informative! Other that that the hotel itself was beautifully decorated. Thanks

“BEAUTIFUL PLACE, GOOD FOOD, FRIENDLY SERVICE”

There is nothing not to like about this hotel. The chef made us baked stuffed lobsters upon request and the other food was very good with a nice breakfast buffet. Our room was spacious, well kept up and comfortable. The staff was super helpful and friendly. Work out room, sauna and large pool in the spa. We will go back in the summer but had a lot of fun in the winter season.

The rooms, bathrooms were very quaint, clean and comfortable-beautiful and roomy for an historic building. The beds were very comfortable also. The food in the restaurant was delicious and brought out quickly. The pool was indoor downstairs so should be open all year, spa next to pool, whirlpool and sauna make it a complete package, and it is in walking distance to the Vineyard Haven ferry building. Advice- bring your things in a roller suitcase and light backpack instead of carrying heavy bags up the slight hill from the ferry. Rent mopeds down the street and check out the Black Dog if you like to play tourist and of course get ice cream at Mad Martha's right up the street from ferry.

“couldn't ask for more”

The people at Mansion House went out of their way to be helpful to us. I was joined the morning of check out by several relatives with small babies and the staff set us all up with a function room which we used as a staging area for preparation for a family memorial service. It was very generous of them. The staff were very friendly at a time when we needed support. I wish I had been able to take advantage of the health spa and other amenities. For off season travelling this is a high class bargain.

“Charming little inn with lovely rooms and staff”

My husband and I needed a place to stay overnight in Vineyard Haven, convenient to the ferry terminal. The Mansion House fit the bill, and then some. We booked a top-floor room with a view of the harbor. The room, though not enormous, was light, airy, and immaculately clean, with all the amenities we wanted, including a sweet little balcony where we could sip coffee. A buffet breakfast (eggs, bacon, potatoes plus the usual fruit, yogurt, pastries, toast and great coffee) is included with the room. The hotel's rooftop deck is a lovely spot to relax with a drink and watch the sailboats come and go. The hotel also operates a restaurant, health club and spa. Best of all, the staff were wonderfully helpful, with all kinds of suggestions for places to go. It's not cheap, but for the quality of the facilities and service it's a great deal. We'll come back for a weekend getaway--very soon, I hope!

“Great getaway hotel”

Hotel was great. Location is a short walk from ferry and bus stop. Near all the shops but yet very quiet. Bathtub rooms are normal shower/tubes, thought it would be more like a jacuzzi tub. Water was hard to see from balcony on 3rd floor trees are starting to block it. Room was spacious and clean. Food at the resturante was very pricey for the quality and service was slow. Bread was cold and stale hard as a rock. Ended up getting food down the street from a Jamaican Truck which was great and eating it in the hotel room. Breakfast was the best food I experienced at the resturante and it was free. Had a large varity including fresh pastries.
