“Hotel in Trois Ilets”
The hotel is a pleasant place to stay with an delightful open air roof-shaded patio and view. It is close to a beach. The staff were helpful, providing a map, recommendations for dinner, taxi reservations when asked, and the printing of my boarding pass. The cost of a taxi to the airport is 50-60 euros - one way. One should know that much of Martinique seems to be closed on Saturday afternoon. Also, restaurants don't open for dinner until about 7 pm. My room had a refrigerator. The housekeeping staff keeps the rooms with clean appearances, but I found a couple of bits of paper from previous guests under my bed and there was a slow leak at one place in the ceiling that made my slippers wet.
“Decent low-priced option in Anse Mitan”
I would recommend the Camelia to visitors looking for a moderately-priced place to stay in the Trois Islets/Pointe du Bout area. Our third (top)-floor room was small and rather spartan, but offered a splendid view of the Baie de Fort-de-France. The hotel restaurant serves a buffet breakfast only, but there are a number of dining options in the marina area in Pointe du Bout, a ten-minute walk away. Staff spoke little or no English. Nice, smallish pool with both sunny and shady areas.
“Friendly staff, old hotel.”
From the front desk to the cleaning lady, the staff was very helpful. Great view. But, the room looked nothing like the online photos. It looks like it was a great hotel at one time, but has since given up.
“Karibea Camelia Residence”
Light in Bathroom didn't work and window panted over so it was dark day and night. VERY hot in room when arrived and near midnight. WiFi didn't work in room. Breakfast good.
“Not unless I'm really stuck!”
A dump...with a very nice view.
