Desk clerk was extremely friendly and helpful. Room was very clean, quiet and adequate! Will stay here again!

“perfect for quick stay”

The Microtel was inexpensive, very clean, close to the interstate, with food options within walking distance. Just there for one night. The breakfast is pretty lackluster (bagels, yogurt, danish, etc.), but the coffee was good & available 24 hrs - and there's a 24 hour restaurant for breakfast about 100 yards away. The room was perfectly fine for a quick stay, with the exception of the pillows being the typical hotel pillows - not all that great. Would definitely stay there again.

“Excellent accommodations”

Microtel Inn at Clear Lake was right off I-35 so very convenient. Beautiful building, clean rooms, delicious light breakfast offerings. Air conditioning/heating was easy to adjust for comfort, and a padded window seat was fun to use for reading. Several fast food choices near the hotel worked for us. I would stay there again.

“Good value for basic accomodation”

I can't fault the Microtel for price, condition or friendliness of the staff, my only issue was with the noise factor. We had neighbours in the room above who seemed to be moving in or out at around 4am and it woke all of us up. It was only the sound of people moving around but it was loud enough for us all to hear. There also seemed to be a garbage or recycling truck emptying bottles outside our room at around 6 am, and something I've found lately in a few hotels, the bathroom light always is also the switch for the extractor fan. This is annoying at night as the noise wakes up the other people in the room.

You should expect the rooms to be small and plain, but they are clean and very reasonably priced.
