Lovely hotel. 40 mins easy train ride to Barcelona.

lovely hotel, nice location, nice staff. Easy access to barcelona via the trains which operate from outside the hotel, although the journey time is 40min. Booked a tripple room and was disappointed that i was sleeping on a futon! Indoor pool is part of the spa complex and has to be paid for, again disappointing as the outdoor pool was unheated and too cold to swim in. the beach by the hotel is lovely but does not really cater for tourists, no activities or things to do. Having said all that i enjoyed my stay and would go there again.

This hotel was lovely. I wish we had more time there, because the spa looked excellent, but we were on our way to Barcelona for a cruise. The staff were friendly enough, and we had no problems. Just as an FYI, this area is not easily accessible to Barcelona--it is about an hour away by train.

My son and I stayed in this hotel from 18.4.2013 to 23.4.2013 and we both agreed that it is the nicest hotel we have ever stayed in. We traveled into Barcelona via the Mataro train - the station is only a 5 - 10 minute walk from the hotel. After the hustle and bustle of very busy days in Barcelona, it was such a pleasure to arrive back at the hotel and be able to relax in the spa. The food served in the restaurant and the breakfast buffet was excellent and good value. The views from our room were absolutely beautiful. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The beaches nearby are all well maintained and clean. We would return to this hotel tomorrow if given the opportunity!

A modern comfortable hotel, situated right on the marinated waterfront with great amenities and friendly staff, and not so expensive.

Went to stay in this hotel as couple for a close friends wedding!Location of hotel is famtastic with train station just mins walk away and trains running every 1/2 hour into Barcelona(30 mins to center and 45 mins airport) and Gerona (aprox same)Taxi from airport on arrival costed us £80 in compares ant with a train on return at €3 each. Train is deffo the way forward as its so easy to get Welcome was amazing by staff even tho they don't speak much English which was not an issue at all.We as a couple got given a special bottle of champagne at the wedding and due to us livjng away from most of our friends we wanted to share it on out last night,without any hope we asked the bar tender would it be possible if we had it out on a terrace-he sayd Yes without hesatating witch came as a huge suprise and also gave us the full table service,providing more drinks,snacks ice buckets and blankets for extra comfort.That was amazing ending to our last night of such special holiday!!!! Spa which is available at the hotel is reasonably priced.Breakfast superb selection which changed on daily bases.There is however lots of great food places within new/old town of Marato.knowing that before hand we didnt book our breakfast for all the stay as we used some local caffes for the best crosants.Beaches were picture perfect.

The staff was very helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, and the food at the restaurant was great! We loved the whole experience.

Hotel was stunning. Decor and cleanliness was good. Breakfast was quite good but you need to arrive early for the full variety of items as once they ran out as they were not replenished. Seaside location is picturesque and quiet though 30-40 min train ride away from centre of Barcelona. Got adjoining room for my two kids so there was plenty of space. Had a lovely play area on the first floor for younger kids and access to computer in the "library" area. Had a spa onsite but need to pay extra to access facilities. All in all would recommend a stay at this hotel,even for families, if you don't mind the distance from Barcelona.

Stayed for three nights with three others in tri room. Very comfortable and clean. Service from the staff was excellent - nothing was too much trouble. Walk into the main town in the evening and found some great restaurants and shopping. Will be going back.

Excellent hotel and staff! The hotel has been well maintained and has a good view of the port side. Found the staff to be helpful and caring.
