Dar es Salaam, the capital of Tanzania, is roughly 65 miles (105 kilometers) to the south of Matemwe.

Don't miss the Kiwengwa Beach and Mapenzi Beach in Kiwengwa, around 8 miles (13 kilometers) distance from Matemwe. If you feel like doing more in Tanzania, make your way over to Nungwi to visit the Nungwi Beach and Mnarani Natural Aquarium. Nungwi is 11 miles (18 kilometers) away.
