The Pig of Lead was formerly a public house and is situated on the outskirts of the beautiful village of Bonsall. There is a guest sitting room with solid fuel stove to relax in at the end of the day. It is ideally situated within easy access to areas of local interest in the Derbyshire Dales and the Peak District.
We have off road parking and secure parking if required. If you are a walker you can park your car for the week and find public footpaths in all directions on the doorstep.
This is a family home with a friendly and informal atmosphere where we will endeavour to make your stay as relaxing and pleasant as possible. Opposite The Pig of Lead are Dunsley Meadows which are a small group of traditionally grazed fields on the west side between the woods and the valley bottom. Here are some nearby places to go and visit, in and around the local area: Arkwrights mill, Chatsworth house, Masson mill, Haddon hall, National stone castle and Scarthin books.
