this was a tired hotel. We had a lovely breakfast and the staff were friendly. Our bed was comfy but the whole place just wanted that extra touch.

Nice staff, not so nice hotel.Posted Feb 20, 2012 on Hotels.com
This hotel looks great from the outside. But the inside is not so great, looking very tired and in need of a touch of paint. The room itself was a good size but was cold and condensation leaked through the window thus causing a damp smell. The shower was cold but the bath had hot water. The bar and restaurant were nice but be careful what drink you order because the ones l wanted they had no stock of for the whole duration of my break. On the plus side the staff were very friendly and nice.

The Greyhound Hotel, Cromford nr MatlockPosted Sep 2, 2011 on Hotels.com
Beautiful and convenient location for the peak district and sights of Derbyshire. We got a lovely big room with the hugest bed I've ever slept in. There was rather disturbingly bad artwork on the wall of our room though ;) The staff were super friendly too. The only thing that let this place down was that the food was rather average. Not bad just not great.

Greyhound Hotel - Great location, great staffPosted Aug 24, 2011 on Hotels.com
The staff were friendly, helpful and polite - even though we arrived at about 11pm. The room was comfortable, and the road noise issue has recently been addressed by putting double glazing in the rooms. Very easy to find, peaceful and very good breakfasts. Good value for money and right on the edge of the Peaks. We we both in our mid-twenties and found lots to do. A great getaway from the stress of work in London! Excellent stay!

Made to feel welcome by manager and staff. Good meal. Town centre but not noisey
