Excellent backpacker hotel with clean facilitiesPosted Oct 23, 2013
Pros: Friendliness, cleanliness, location and value
Cons: I didn't like having to put away my own linens in the morning or making my futon at night :P
Location: Dogo Onsen a short 5-minute walk away, lots of places to eat and hostess clubs
I just wanted a place close to Dogo Onsen for the night and I was driving a rental car. I was able to park out front easily (free) and check-in was really nice - got introduced to fellow travelers and was shown around the common areas. They have everything you would need including a rental yukata for going out to the baths. Very convenient location! English is spoken well also. I'm just not used to dorms anymore but for the price it can't be beat!

great place close to Dogo OnsenPosted Jul 4, 2012 on Hotels.com
I loved the Sen Guesthouse! Clean and comfy (even if I did have to make my own bed!) and a lovely tatami room to myself. It is very convenient to the Dogo Onsen and the shopping arcade and also to the very convenient tram that takes you through the town and to the castle, which was amazing. The owners are so friendly and helpful--that's what I loved best. They gave all sorts of advice about what to do, where to go, how to do the onsen and so on. The husband is American, the wife Japanese so very helpful to both kinds of travelers.
