“Nice Place”

This was a good place to spend a few days while in Interlaken. it is within walking distance of all 3 train stations (west,Ost and Wilderswil) and there is a bus stop a block down the street so this all made it easy to get around. The hotel is an older building so it's nothing fancy but it has more character than the newer ones - we had a balcony outside our room which faced the mountains for an incredible view. Our room had a toilet and shower in the room which was nice (in 10 days of traveling around switzerland this was the only accomodation we had with a bathroom and shower in the room). The staff was very nice and helpful at all times, breakfast was adequate, the location is excellent. Supermarket, laundry and restaurants are all within a 5 minute walk.

“Best hotel in Switzerland”

We have traveled all over Europe and this is definitely our FAVORITE hotel!!! It was beautiful, comfortable, relaxing, great food, and with a gorgeous view of the Alps. It was nice that the hotel was a little bit out of town, and it's a very short walk into Interlaken. We were most impressed with the delicious 3 course dinner for only $15. You can't find that good of a deal anywhere. The room was larger than any other European hotel we have stayed in, so it was nice to have room for all of our suitcases. We would definitely return to this hotel and recommend it to anyone going to Switzerland!

“Excellent value and ammenities”

We booked this hotel at the last minute and were lucky to get a rare triple room, for myself and my two daughters. Space was a little tight, but it didn't matter. The Hotel had free WIFI, an elevator, and a wonderful little restaurant/bar that had typical Swiss food for the region, with huge american size portions of food. The Fondu was for two, and was enough for 3 or 4 people and was my favorite. The included a typical continental buffet breakfast plus some cold cuts and cheese. You are served hot milk and coffee or chocolate for the kids. The was also the option for full pension (dinner) which was in its own dining room. The staff were extremely nice and helpful, and spoke english. The hotel, however, is a some distance from the city center, so you would need to take public transportation or drive. An excellent value!

“Beautiful Mountian Views”

This hotel is not fancy by any means, but it had nice rooms with excellent views of the mountains. The rooms are clean and the owner is really nice. There is a FREE continental breakfast every morning and the main streets of Interlaken are just a short walk away.

“ok for the price”

this hotel is little away from the city.. no buses goes towards the hotel after 8pm but taxis are available after 8pm which costs 15euros... the lady at the reception was very helpful and helped us with all our queries and guided us well.. the breakfast was great..

“Cute place, friendly owners”

We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Alpina. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The morning breakfast was very good and typical European fare. The rooms were clean. However, you can hear through the walls and loud guests coming in late were quite noisy and smoking. I'd suggest you take earplugs.

“Reliable, clean, no frills”

You can spend A LOT of money on a hotel in Interlaken. This is not one of them. If you are looking for a clean, decent place to spend the night, this is it. Nothing fancy, everything is not brand new. The staff is very friendly and the breakfast, although simple, got me out of bed every morning. If you continue up past the hotel, there is a small shopping center with a Eurospar in the basement that you can stock up on some pretty cheap food stuffs and beverages. I would definitely stay here again. The place is small, but has some character, is clean and the staff is great. Go visit interlaken!

“Great Experience”

My wife and I stayed at Hotel Alpina for 5 nights and had a great experience. Most importantly the rooms were clean and the service was always very friendly. The complimentary sit down breakfast every morning was a great way to start the day, especially considering the owner welcomed us with a smile and a good cup of coffee. As other reviewers have commented, the decor is not perfect and the rooms are fairly small. But everything was very clean, and really with scenery like you get in Interlaken, who really plans to spend all day in their hotel room anyway. Another nice feature is you get free bus tickets, and there is a stop just a few minutes walk from the hotel.
