Nice and quietPosted Mar 2, 2014
This hotel was great, first trip to Maui and I would book this hotel again if your looking for something that is not over crowded this is it. Even though this hotel was on the beach there was not a beach to with sand on but a 2 min walk you are on the beach which is a little rocky in the surf if you walk on the beach about 5-10 min there are great beaches be on. Overall this hotel was a great stay and would book this hotel again with no hesitation.

Nice condo close to the ocean with a beach close.Posted Feb 25, 2014
Pros: The grounds were beautiful and very well kept. Our room was comfortable and very quiet.
Cons: We did have 3 cockroaches in our room 1 day after a rain but they were very good about coming to fumigate.
Location: Nothing is too far away in Maui. That's one of the attractions.
We really enjoyed our stay. We were close to everything we needed.

Ocean front paradise!Posted Jan 31, 2014
This is my third year in a row at the Papakea and it's home to me. Everyone is phenomenal! There are no words to explain how amazing this place is. You just have to go and see for yourself!

Beautiful resort. All rooms ocean view.Posted Jan 17, 2014
Pros: The grounds were beautifully maunicured and the condo unit we were in was fantastic. Clean, well furnished, I believed it was rece renovated or upgrad
Location: Walking distance to many thing other than the ocean. Restraunts, stores, rental shop, ABC store.
We reserved this condo sight unseen and was not reaklly sure what we were going to get. It was beautiful. The resort the condo and the ocean were fantastic. Would definetly go back again. Was really spoiled by its beauty!

Pleasant area near the beachPosted Jan 14, 2014
Pros: Proximity to beach
Cons: Not much.
Location: This is located at the upper end of Kaanapali. The actual beach in front of the facility is non-existent, but sand is only 200 feet away from site.
We had to move from our time share because they were over booked and could not accommodate our three additional days. We were able to get into Papakea on short notice. It was very relaxing and comfortable. The one bedroom was a lttile small for three of us but we were glad to stay here. Staff was excellent, and the unit was immaculate. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Nice established place. Be selective on unit.Posted Jan 14, 2014
Pros: Nice grounds good location. Great resort.
Cons: Unit needed deep cleaning. Remodel bath. New furniture
Location: Great location, near restaurants, grocery. Good beaches close by.
We have stayed here couple of times so that says a lot. This time with booking thru Expedia there was 15$ a day extra charge which was not mentioned at booking. The unit we got (E209) badly needed a bath upgrade condition way below average. The tile floors were dirty and needed a deep clean. The unit furniture was cheap. The unit kitchen, accessories were minimally outfitted. Good place not a great unit.

Beach front was all rocks - no sand.Posted Jan 13, 2014
Pros: Full kitchen was nice. There was a game system available in our room but only 2 games to rent? My son was a bit dissappointed.
Cons: Restaurant/Lounge avail on the grounds - more games to rent. Better air conditioner - it was SO LOUD.
Location: There was a concierge available she was very helpful - helicopter ride, horseback riding, snorkeling, zip lines and submarine.
To access the beach we had to go to the resorts next door. Also, there weren't any restaurants/lounges available on the grounds. Again we had to go to nearby resorts.

Our stay at Aston at Papakea ResortPosted Jan 6, 2014
Pros: Full Kitchen (all equipment and dishwasher) Awseome Pool with Thursday free Mai Tai hour Washer and Dryer in the room, free wifi and parking
Cons: Slow wifi. Murphy bed, not advertised when we booked the room. No way to book a late check out in advance. The beach at the hotel was tiny.
Location: Grocery shopping a 5 minute walk away. Close to Whaler's Village and Lahaina (10 -15 minute drive). Lots of beaches near by to explore.
Great experinece overall with some drawbacks (listed below). Either way, I would go back to the Aston if the opportunity arouse. We had a great ocean view from our balcony. The concierge (local Expedia Expert) was fantastic at our hotel. Patty did an AMAZING job for us.
