Hotel is right on the beachPosted Dec 5, 2013
Cons: The electrical outlets in the room were oddly placed (if existing). Why do a major renovation and not install plugs above the counter?
Location: Close to other hotels, but had to drive to stores/restaurants.
Don't let the exterior fool you. The room that we had was massive, easily suitable for a family of 4-5. We had a newly remodelled one bedroom with a brand new kitchen. The room layout was a bit odd but quite large.

Very nice. Great location.Posted Dec 3, 2013
Pros: Nice rooms and beautiful grounds, being next to the beach, close to stores and activities
Cons: I would like to see more designated areas for smokers. Also I would like to see the grounds upkeeping fee ($16.00) to be added to the room price.
Location: We did the helicopter ride, submarine tour, the Lahaina Luau show and the dinner cruise. All except for the helicopter ride were only minutes away.
Very nice hotel. The hotel grounds are beautiful and the location is excellent.

Great Amentities for price.Posted Nov 28, 2013
Location: Located close to Lahaina Historic town/slips, Merriman's restaurant
My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon for 2 nights in November2013. When we arrived, the grounds were immaculate. Check-in (early) was not a problem and very easy. The check-in staff were friendly, quick, and did a fantastic job of orienting us to the resort and west coast of Maui. The receptionist gave us maps, information and made two great dinner recommendations, which we were very pleased with. The resort suite was spacious, clean and had a nice view over the garden. The room was close to the elevators, sound proof. The lighting in the bedroom was inadequate. They upgraded us for free and provided a night of complimentary champagne. They have a wonderful free DVD(uptodate movies) rental service, one per night free from a kiosk in the lobby. The resort has a great restaurant that is reasonably priced for the island, has a nice view, and they provided two free drink tickets. The have many rental options and activities hosted by the resort to participate in (i.e. scuba lesson, etc) It's located right on the beach and has easy access, rinse area. We didn't have time to take full advantage of everything the resort offered and plan to stay there again. Highly recommend for the price.

Lovely accommodations, even though our room overlooked the trash bins. Narrow beach, but safe, with nearby reef. Handy shopping center across the street. Very pretty pools and grounds.

Felt like coming homePosted Nov 23, 2013
Pros: Beautiful and relaxing setting. The birds outside our Garden Suite.
Cons: Unfortunately, every stay those sharing bedroom are awaken early 5:00 a.m. with noise from guests loud talking while waiting for tour buses.
Location: We enjoyed dinner next to the ocean at popular Duke's. Was disappointed not to hear Hawaiian music there. Loved snorkeling on beaches and at Molikin
This was my 5th stay with family and friends. We were made to feel very welcome. I always enjoy the pleasant garden setting and being so near the beach. The only disappointment was the overall lack of Hawaiian music and the hula lesson was cancelled. To me Hawaii is the culture, the music and the hula shows wherever we go. That seemed to be lacking throughout Maui this visit. We did enjoy the hula show on Wednesday nights by the pool. We hope you continue it. The Aston will always be my first and only choice when I visit your lovely island. Thank you for making our stay both pleasant and affordable.

Well appointed attractive rooms, clean, good beachPosted Nov 22, 2013
Pros: Friendly courteous staff, well kept grounds, flowers, trees, birds. Beach access and lots of lounge chairs.Location close to all amenities.
Cons: It was very good value for what we paid.
Location: Grocery stores within walking, lots of beaches close by for different sports. Shopping and site seeing. A car is a must to see and enjoy this Island.
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel we were upgraded to a one bedroom instead of a studio, so we felt this made up for the noisy construction repairs going on throughout the 10 days of our stay, around the pool and beach area. The restaurant could use some additional choices for those not wanting a full and heavy meal. Happy hour drinks could include a few more choices. We enjoyed the beach, the sand was kept clean and there were lots of lounge chairs for everyone. The staff and hotel in general is eager to please and seem well organized and happy with their jobs. We would come back to this hotel again.
