Welcoming hotel in MauiPosted Mar 6, 2014
We have stayed at this hotel several times and have always been impressed with the location, staff attention and cleanliness. Ideal locations for snorkeling and swimming are directly outside the hotel. Staff and concierge services are excellent. For example, during this stay, we had a problem with a video player. Within ten minutes of my complaint, a new unit was brought in an exchanged for a new unit. The garden area of the hotel is beautifully manicured and maintained. We always request rooms overlooking the garden rather than the rooms on the exterior of the hotel.

Nice hotel. Close to the beach.Posted Mar 3, 2014
Quick check in and check out. Good service at the restaurant. No hidden charges. Good location. Small grounds which was great for less walking. Great place.

Old outdated hotel that needs major updating.Posted Feb 25, 2014
Old hotel, beach access minimal, needs painting, hotel staff not very friendly. Food at the restaurant was very mediocre. There are far better hotel resorts than this on Kaanapali. Don't waste your time or money staying here.

Nice room with a view near the beachPosted Feb 25, 2014
Pros: Convient location, nice beach, washer/dryer in the room.
Cons: the hide-a-bed was a bit tough to sleep on for a whole week.
Location: There's a lot to do in West Maui, and this place is close to just about everything.
We had a nice large room with a view of the ocean. The room had typical condo amenities in the kitchen, as well as small washer/dryer unit in a closet. The grounds are well maintained, not particularly fancy, but very nice. The hotel complex has two pools, two hot tubs, two tennis counts, and is located right at a beach that is good for snorkeling and stand-up surfboarding. The beach is a bit rocky for boogie boarding, but can be done at high tide. There are small stores to buy supplies on-site and is very conveniently located near a mall with a grocery store. I would definitely stay here again.

Exactly what you want when in HawaiiPosted Feb 24, 2014
Pros: The location, the amenities, the beach front, and the staff!
Cons: The restaurant's atmosphere - a little bit too much of the senior citizen vibe.
Location: The location is ideal. 10 minute drive to Lahaina if you are after night life, right on the beach and close to easy shopping.
The hotel was lovely! We got a complimentary upgrade to a garden-view suite. Free lounge chairs. Two pools and two hot tubs plus it's right on the beach. Bed was very comfy. Right across the street from a little strip mall with a snorkel shop and a grocery store. It's got it all. The only thing that didn't blow my mind was the restaurant. Not that the food wasn't good (I wouldn't know) - I just wasn't inspired to eat there.

Nice, but......Posted Feb 22, 2014
Pros: Price was reasonable. Had a nice full kitchen. Loved having a washer and dryer right in the room. Great feature.
Cons: Provide decaf coffee in the rooms.
Location: Close to Lahaina and the best pie we've ever eaten(Leoda's).
Overall, I would say the hotel was pleasing. It was right on the ocean. Although no fault of theirs, there isn't much beach due to erosion. Was't too pleased that they didn't provide decaf coffee in the room. I asked housekeeping and was told that they don't put decaf in the rooms. I went to their little coffee bar (Kope Cabana) and was told they don't have decaf coffee. I would have to either go to their restaurant or across the street to the Java Jazz. So we went to the store and bought some decaf coffee to brew ourselves. Other than that, not a bad place to stay.

A nice place to stayPosted Feb 20, 2014
Pros: Nice large rooms, plenty of personnel attention, two very nice pools. The restaurant was great. The very helpful Expedia experts.
Cons: The decor was a little dated, freshen up on the furniture, decor, and a new coat of paint and it would be as nice as any of the more costly hotels.
Location: Plenty of golf courses around. Lahainia, the next town down has all of the water and sight seeing activities you could ask for. Good Location.
We arrived much later than anticipated, but were greeted by a very friendly desk person who not only checked us in very quickly, but also upgraded as well. We had a 1 bedroom suite with a full kitchen, and while not right on the ocean, we were close enough to hear the waves. The room was clean and neat although somewhat dated, but everything was comfortable, including the bed. The maid service was attentive, and we were very excited to have an Expedia concierge available to help us plan our days and arrange for our trips. All of the folks we worked with were super friendly and very knowledgeable on the best activities to see and do. The food at the restaurant was very good, and priced on par for Maui. While not the most expensive place on the west side, it suited our needs very nicely. It saved us many dollars to use for our activities while vacationing. Only downside, was sometimes at night the wind would switch and you would get the smell of the treatment plant down the road a few miles, but hey if you turn the air conditioning on, you don't even notice it.
