Very comfortable and great location!

Our recent stay at the Mahana was great! They are doing work on one tower so we received a complementary upgrade to a 2 bedroom unit, which was huge! It was not one of the recently remodelled units but we still found it very clean and comfortable with everything we needed. Close proximity to Lahaina and Kaanapalii beach, grocery store within walking distance. Pool area small but more than adequate and great BBQ area. We found it to be a very quiet and low-key environment and had a great vacation!

Awesomeness to have a lanai facing the ocean.

Posted May 10, 2014
The sound of waves put me to sleep, the sound of birds woke me up. Did the old Lahaina luau, Maui mountain cruisers bike ride down Haleakala, submarine tour.... Sat on the beach, by the pool. Everything I could have hoped for in a vacation. Will definitely be back next year. Mahalo!

Great View with Good Location

Posted May 4, 2014
Pros: The view and the distance from the beach. The hotel staff. The accomodations.
Cons: Would be nice to have some lights beachside as the sun sets before 7:00 pm. Also easier access to the path that starts at the hotel next door.
Location: 10 minute drive to Lahania and attractions on Front St. 45 minute beach/path walk to Whaler's Village mall and restaraunts. Expedia rep on site.
We had a very good time as a family of four with a son and daughter (18 and 21). The view was spectacular including floor to ceiling windows at the front room and a lanai with access for the master bedroom and the sitting area. There was a second bedroom with twin beds, both rooms had ensuites with showers. The week was windy so we did not get a lot of use of the lanai. There was a full kitchen including stove, fridge, microwave and dishwasher as well as a washer and dryer. All necessary soaps were supplied. We also had use of four barbaques by the pool. One of our best meals was nice striploins purchased in a grocery just 5 minute walk from hotel. I suggest stopping near the airport to get groceries as they are quite expensive in Ka'anapali. Our bedroom was huge with a very comfortable bed. The decor was very nice Japanese theme (Room 501). The sitting area was comfortable with chairs that could be turned into the room towards the TV our turned out towards the amazing view. The surf was so load it actually woke us a few times at the beginning. It was so nice and soothing to listen to, not sure how I will sleep tonight without it.

Great Location

Posted Apr 16, 2014
Location: Maui is a small island, everything is nearby. Snorkeling and boogie boards off our beach. Scuba, aquarium, hiking, shopping, and great dining.
The pictures of this hotel do not do it justice. Our window and lanai were only about 20 feet from the beach and another 20 feet from the high tide line. That alone makes this hotel worth the stay. Most of the other hotels in the area set back from the shore 100 yards or so. The pool, in room entertainment, ease of parking, being within walking distance from shopping and dining, and room size made this a great hotel. I only have two negatives (if you can call them negatives) about this hotel. 1) It is not a "resort" in the traditional sense of the word, but primarily condo/time share complex. It had more of the feeling of staying at an apartment complex than a hotel (other than daily room cleaning and a front desk). There also isn't any onsite dining or bar facilities. 2) The furnishings felt a little dated.

It's the closest hotel to the beach of ANY offered

Posted Apr 15, 2014
Pros: See above
Cons: Pool area could use visual improvement, but given lack of space, that could be difficult. That's about it.
Location: Location is excellent. Plenty to do within 5 to 10 minutes of hotel.
Excellent location. Very competitive price. Excellent service. Beautiful rooms. Average facilities but sister resort right next door had great pool facilities. Close to shops and market. I'd highly recommend this hotel with the premium rooms. It's not what I'd call a 4 star resort, however, it makes up for what it lacks in great views, great service and great location.

We love the Mahana

Posted Apr 8, 2014
The Mahana meets all our expectations for a vacation in paradise. The condo was exceptional with a breathtaking view on an oceanfront lanai. Staff is friendly and we didn't want to leave. The Mahana is our place in Maui

Amazing views and staff

Posted Apr 3, 2014
Pros: Amazing views from the rooms, and the area is jam packed of things to do and breath taking views all around.
Location: Great restaurants, great views, great beaches. Really cant beat the location, it is central to pretty much everything you would want to do
This hotel was an amazing experience for our first trip to Hawaii. The views in the rooms are unbeatable. The pictures, as great as they look, don't do it justice. The rooms are clean, well stocked and it feels more like a luxury condo rather than a hotel. Surrounding area has tons to do, you won't regret booking here. We had a family emergency after our third day and had to fly out suddenly and the hotel management and staff went above and beyond what we would have ever expected to help us. I will always stay at this hotel during my future, hopefully much longer, trips to Hawaii.
