Maui honeymoonPosted May 16, 2015
Very nice place to stay! Would have been nice to have more options for dining as everything shuts down pretty early around here.

Had a good stay.Posted Apr 28, 2015
Pros: Clean room and facility.
Cons: Check in process.
Location: Good location. You can walk to a lot of places. It is a short drive to any place of interest on the western part of Maui.
The check in process was somewhat confusing. We had to wait a good while for an agent to become available. I showed the agent my reservation documentation she looked at her display and said that the room reserved was not available. We were told that we could look at some other rooms that were available and then were told that the room we reserved was available. The agent made keys for 3 rooms. One was the reserved room, another was a room that requires a $25 upgrade and the third required a $45 upgrade. We had some trouble finding the rooms due to the layout of the property. The room we reserved was very small with a smaller patio. The $45 upgrade had an off smell. The $25 upgrade we found to be acceptable and returned to the front desk to take it. To our surprise the other agent had rented the acceptable room while we were making the rounds. It was back to the display for another search. Another $25 upgrade room was located, but it had 2 queen sized beds instead of one king size which we wanted. We were given a key and sent off to find and look at the room. The room was on the second floor of one of the back buildings and was an acceptable room. We went back to the front desk and upgraded to that room. The check in process took a lot of time and caused some frustration. The rooms are efficiency apartments that are fully furnished and equipped for living. Once we got settled we found the room selected to be well furnished, clean and an acceptable location within the complex.

Better than Expected!Posted Apr 3, 2015
Having never stayed at an Aston property nor Maui Kaanapali Villas before, we were somewhat skeptical. But in all honesty, we were very pleased with our unit, the staff, housekeeping, the grounds and the maintenance crew. We had some problems with the A/C when we first checked in, but the maintenance crew repaired the problem quickly while we went to dinner. Our coffee maker did not work, and the housekeeping crew brought up a new one within five minutes. The 1BR suite (with a full kitchen) we had worked out perfectly and was in great shape and modern in its finishes. I know with hotel condominiums, it really depends upon which suite you get, but our unit on the 4th floor was in great condition. The location of the property worked out great as well. It's just a 20 minute walk from Whaler's Village, but just enough removed to have a bit more peace and serenity on the beach (which was just a short two minute walk from the lobby). For families traveling, you know exactly how difficult it is to find a hotel room large enough for your family. And with a full kitchen, it allows you to quickly make something for lunch for the kids and head right back to the beach afterwards. MPV is definitely something to take a look at when traveling with your family (we enjoyed it more than the Sheraton). Next time we are back in Maui, I wouldn't hesitate to consider staying at MKV again.

stayed here for second time and happy!Posted Apr 1, 2015
Not crowdy, great breach with two snorkling locations close to the hotel. Hotel territory is very nice and clean. Nice pools... many other convinient, great things - hard to remember to list everything. Location is also good - close to some fresh friut markets, cafes, restourants, general store shops (and I think there is free transportation to Lahaina on authentic wooden bus). Staff is very friendly and helpful. We've got issue with AC, it didn't turn off, staff was very helpful, they provided another room (which was better and I guess more expepensive but they didn't charge any extra). My next trip to Maui I'll be staying in Aston Maui Kaanapali Villas again.

We've stayed at this hotel many times & love it.Posted Mar 18, 2015
Pros: The staff, the pool, & the grounds. I wish all the rooms were updated, but they're always kept clean.
Cons: Update all the rooms.
Location: That's one of the best things about this hotel. It's close to Whaler's village, great walking everywhere & lots of restaurants close. Whale watching!
The staff is great. If you have a problem they fix it immediately. Sometimes they give you an upgraded room, & that's a treat. The pool is wonderful, nice & warm. We will keep coming back, look forward to it every year.
