What a view! What a suite! 411 is where we stayed and if we could get that room again, we will! The suite was renovated recently (or at least it looked like it) and was immaculate. Our kitchen, bathroom and all furniture was modern and my style. The day after we checked in, the staff brought us half of a cut up pineapple. It was delicious and what a thoughtful welcoming gift. When we come back, we are staying here for sure.

I very much felt the comforts of home during my stay. Excellent and hospitable staff. I loved my kitchenette it is an absolute must. A hospitality room was also available and offered to us due to our late flight out. We checked out and were still able to use all facilities, beach, pool, etc. after use of the amenities we were offered a hospitality room to shower and change to be fresh for our flight out. Wonderful service!! Will stay again for sure.

The location of this facility is perfect. It's a short 30 second walk across the grounds to the bordering ocean, but with plenty of shaded grass to sit on if you don't like the beach.
The Castaway Cafe is a real plus as the food is great and it's so very convenient.
Several pools for the kids or a getaway for the adults.
All-in-all I think it is my favorite spot on Maui.

We rented an ocean front condo which had an amazing view. We were literally 20 ft from the ocean wall and woke up to the sound and view of the ocean everyday. It was truly amazing and we could not have wished for anything better. Our condo was a little outdated as far as furniture and appliances but that was ok for us, we spent most of our time on the balcony or at the pool area using the barbecues. This hotel does not have beach access right in front but the beach is right next door, maybe a 5 min walk. In our opinion this hotel had the best view and most reasonable pricing. There is a grocery store within walking distance and several shops and places to eat. There is even a shop to rent snorkel gear for $5 a day right in front of the hotel. You really can't beat that price. The Expedia desk in the lobby is great, they will help you with any questions and give you suggestions on places to go. We did two tours but found that we liked doing things on our own rather than in a tour group . We had a rental car and found it much more relaxing to go places on our own without being stuck on a tour. You will also save a ton of money since all the tours average about $100 per person. I would definitely return to papakea, it was the most relaxing vacation we ever had and we also got engaged on this trip!

For the price the condo was a steal. I would've given it a 5 all around but there was some construction going on and some of the workers were on the balconies so it was a little intrusive which was not the hotels fault and they did post notices. The condos are quiet and very we'll kept up and the staff is beyond friendly. You are close to everything and there are shops and farmer markets in walking distance. I have no doubt the next time I go I will be booking through them.
