Great bang for the buck

Posted Jul 23, 2014
Pros: Space, kitchen, bedroom, bathrooms, close to beach, quiet and private.
Cons: DVD player in living room is 20 years old and needs replacement. Bedroom TV has none, and should have one.
Location: Beach, restaurants, stores, and just about everything you need within 5 miles.
We had unit K106 at Maui Kamaole for a 6-night stay with flight (from LAX) and rental car for about $2K, which is a nice price for July. Although it said on Expedia that Wi-fi needed to be purchased if desired, it was somehow included in our package (maybe a bonus from the owner?). Although some things were dated (TV in bedroom, DVD player, some interior decoration), the condo was clearly in good condition. There is no room service because it is a condo, and it functions as if it is your own home, so you do the dishes and wash the towels. There is a phone number for "housekeeping" should anything arise. What we really liked was that there was a lot of square footage (1,100), making it much better than a hotel room scenario. We also liked how they included Hawaiian sweet kettle popcorn, some beers, some refreshments, chocolate macadamias, hawaiian coffee, boogie boards, snorkels, beach supplies, all on-the-house. The bed was comfortable and the master bathroom had a double sink. There was also a second bathroom with a shower near the kitchen and living room. All in all, the value with this unit was tremendously good considering that everything on the island is expensive. Yes, it wasn't 4 or 5 star in quality, but we didn't need it to be. We needed to save money (4 or 5 star value) and still feel close to 4 or 5 star quality. We got exactly what we hoped for and then some. My wife is Colombian and she said it exceeded her expectations compared to photos on Expedia.

Great Condo on Maui Dry Side

Posted Jul 20, 2014
Pros: Apartments are good. Pools great. Location superb.
Cons: All good.
Location: Location is great.
It was just perfect. The apartment easily fitted our family with 4 kids. The facilities on site (pools and tennis) are good. Location is good for everything you might want t do on Maui.

Close to the best beach on the island.

This condo was clean and comfortable, but the A/C is wall units, which don't work very well. Our condo never cooled off to a comfortable temperature until late in the evenings. The refrigerator and stove were modern & worked well. The bathrooms and showers were also nice. The pool was decent, but there are pretty strict rules that discourage kids from being kids (no ball throwing, no Marco Polo, etc.). The best thing about this condo was the proximity to the beach. It's a short walk to an incredible beach with amazing sunset views.

Beautiful spot, easy access to beach but secluded!

Posted Jul 3, 2014
Pros: location
Cons: Wi-fi didn't always work but no major deal
Individual condos so ours obviously won't be the same that everyone gets but the grounds are beautiful and I believe all units are situated to take advantage of renters privacy. What we especially likes about the property was how it was set apart from virtually all other condominiums along the beachfront, but at the same time the beach was readily accessible! The Kihea dock was at the bottom of our driveway and across the street -- which made it super easy to get to the boat launch where we met the water craft that took us out to Molikini Island for snorkeling.

Pros: The thing that I like about this condo is that everything is clean and everything you need is there for you to use.
Cons: I can't think of anything at these moment, because we still amaze about the place we are staying and we are looking forward to stay in that condo.
Location: Well, it took 5 minutes to walk to the location to buy the ticket for go surfing and etc. and the food next to it to.
It was our first time went to Maui and we stay at Maui Kamaole. When we check into our condo, the staff was very friendly and very helpful to us. But when we walk into our condo, we felt so amaze that the room was clean, the kitchen was spotless and the bathroom also very clean. It was our first time that we stay in the condo and we have a very nice nice ocean view all around. Beside that, it just 5 minutes we walk to the beach and 5 minute back to the swimming pool. The swimming pool was very clean and the B.B.Q grill next to the swimming pool was very clean too. Let not talk to much about these stuff. I mean that, if you book this condo for your families of four and you we felt like you were at your own home and everything you need is there for you to use. The air condition is the most importance to us too, because we turn on almost 24 hours a days. And the ceiling fan running 24 hours straight.

Loved being up on the hill - wonderful view!

Posted Apr 1, 2014
Pros: Being situated up on the hill a bit, towards the end of Kihei. Beautifully maintained grounds.
We really enjoyed this quiet, beautiful condo complex - the view from the lanai in our unit was wonderful, and having the ability to get a good cross breeze let us enjoy it a/c free. Well appointed unit - kitchen had everything we needed. Only suggestion: get new fitted sheets where the elastic isn't shot - kept slipping off the mattress every time you move. Thanks for a lovely home away from home, especially one away from the white stuff!

excellent location...

The guy at the office was by the book...not very friendly, but I'm used to people like that in Bay Area...was expecting different in Hawaii.... The rest of the situation was excellent. BBQ every night..nice pool, great location, close to beaches, quite....convenient...
