Great room for short stays

Posted Apr 15, 2014
Pros: Beach,price,restaurant
Cons: Bigger rooms
Location: Lots to do see above
The room was small but okay for two and a short stay. Great beach very close, with access to snorkelling sites. Restaurant very accessible and overlooks the beach. The room we had was a bit dated, but clean and cool. The price was reasonable for maui and on a very nice beach. Parking was a bit cramped, but there is also room on the public access side which is still close to the rooms. The staff was extremely curious and very helpful.

Hotel next to very nice beach

Posted Apr 11, 2014
Pros: Proximity to beach
Cons: Wifi connection
Location: Swim in sea. With car plenty of fair restaurants/bars/coffees, souvenir shops and surfing/scuba diving shops within 10mn driving distance.
Stayed at this hotel 3 days. Small room with intermittent wifi connection issues but you don't go to Maui for that. Hotel is right next to a beautiful beach (they provide beach towels) and you can rent other beach gear from nearby store if needed with a big area of grass and trees that provide shadows if you don't want to stay only on the sand. Only 2 restaurants within walking distance are pretty expensive though.

Inexpensive hotel close to beach.

Posted Apr 10, 2014
We stayed here just one night because it was so close to our wedding location. If you're looking for an inexpensive place to stay right on the beach, I would recommend this place. The staff was awesome! They have us great directions to our wedding beach and even have us a key card to get a discount at a neighboring restaurant after we checked out.

Best location ever!

Posted Apr 6, 2014
This was our 6th trip to Hawaii, and our second to Maui, and the location of this hotel was the best ever. It was located just steps from a beautiful clean beach where we could walk for at least a mile. The restaurant in front of the hotel, Sarento's, was fabulous - we ate there for 2 breakfasts and 3 dinners. That said, our room was tiny, the bathroom barely adequate. Maid service was spotty: some days the drinking cups were replaced, some not. One morning there was a cockroach in the room. The front desk was pleasant and smiling, but not always helpful (they weren't as impressed with the cockroach as we were). They did offer us nice beach towels, a small beach umbrella, and beach mats. We could only access the internet from the lobby, not our room as advertised. We suspected a weak signal, they kept telling us to call a 1-800 number for help. Would we stay there again? Maybe, because the location was fabulous, and the hotel price was a bargain.

Best beach in Maui!

Posted Mar 24, 2014
Pros: The best part was the proximity to the best beach in Maui and the sunsets were gorgeous! Not much rain in this area, generally.
Location: We walked the beach for a long distance in both directions.
Nothing fancy but clean and comfortable. The room was small but we do not spend much time in the room. Good place for the price.

Our Trip to Maui

Posted Mar 18, 2014
Pros: Location and price
Location: Snorkelling down south in Ahihi bay, swimming at Big beach, eating at coconuts. The beach out front was wonderful too!!
We needed a place to stay for 2 more days in Maui so chose the Days Inn. The two ladies at the front desk were very helpful in suggesting places to go and eat. This room was smaller than we had already had stayed in but the price was right. The location was excellent. The bed was comfortable. The room was small but that was in keeping with the price. Centrally located in Kihei, it was a hop skip and jump away to some great snorkelling sites and beaches. Would recommend it.

Cannot see the beach from most rooms.

Posted Mar 3, 2014
Pros: It had a Tempurpedic bed, all are only queen size and there are no rooms with king size beds. The room is so small you cannot even pass each other.
Cons: It was very dirty, even after cleaning person left. Mildew around the bathroom. Floors are tile & gritty all the time, I had to throw away my slippers
Location: Hotel is about 10 buildings, each in front on the other, so no ocean views. You could walk the beach or swim in the ocean. Lots of Kihei restaurants.
It was horrible, and we'll never go back. We had a first floor room, so we could hear the people above us. Only a very few rooms have a lanai, and those few are on the second floor. Our room had only one very small window, and the only way to get outside air is to prop your door open all day. You cannot go outside and sit anywhere, and even their beach had only 9 lounge chairs for 87 rooms! There was an old-fashioned safe that uses a key which was not provided unless you went back to the office to get one. Beach towels, same story, had to go back and sign for them. The 2 hairs are straight-backed, not comfortable to sit for very long.

Small hotel in South Kihei

Posted Mar 1, 2014
Pros: Excellent access to beach.
Cons: Water temperature in the shower would change from minute to minute.
Location: It is at the south end of Kihei and away from the downtown crowds. Very nice beach. There's a rental place about a half mile north for bicycles etc.
I stayed at this hotel five nights. Room was minimal, the bed wasn't great, sagged a bit in the middle, but I didn't ask for a different room. It was kept clean every day. The shower wasn't the best, water temperature would vary. It is right on a nice beach. I recommend it for a guy who doesn't need a fancy place to stay.
