We were extremely pleased with the hotel. The grounds were kept in great shape and our room was amazing. It exceeded our expectation. We had a corner penthouse unit, which had a very spacious terrace the opened up into the room. Would highly recommend the room to anyone. The shops close by had all mostly anything you would need, as well as a full grocery store being only a 5-6 minute drive away. Our trip exceeded our expectations and the hotel played a large role in that.

Great location and wonderful facilities. Two bedroom we stayed in was beautiful. The only slight drawback was that both of the bathrooms were showing wear and tear in the paint and tile grout; otherwise the remainder of the unit was in excellent shape and well equipped for our stay. Would go back to Mekena Sufrt Again!

This was better than we expected. The view from our room, overlooking the golf course out to the ocean and islands, was spectacular with awesome sunsets. The 2BR 2Bath unit with full kitchen and laundry facilities was perfect - clean and highly functional. High ceilings and living area leading into the lanai gave it a sense of openness. The AC worked perfectly and in the evenings windows and vents allowed pleasant cross breezes through. The beach and 1.5 mi Wailea oceanfront walkway was a quick 20 min walk or 5 min drive (free parking) to great strolling, swimming, and snorkeling (we saw lots of tropical fish at the coral reef, very sandy beaches). Also located nearby are the Wailea shops, an open air mall with high end stores but also restaurants, art galleries, ice cream and convenience stores. Being a tennis buff the Grand Champions is adjacent to the Wailea tennis club and I walked over there for matches and clinics several mornings. The tennis prices are reasonable, $20 to play a match they'll set up for you and $ 30 to participate in a clinic. I didn't golf but there are several courses in the area however greens fees are fairly steep - at least $120 if you're staying locally. This resort is quiet, serene, and near beach front. The staff are very accommodating. WIFI worked perfect. For the only issue I had, an icemaker that wasn't turned on, someone came over to correct the issue within 10 min. I highly recommend this resort!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Elua village. Having read other reviews, we requested a newer unit and were extremely pleased with unit 302. Very clean, well appointed, and comfortable. We especially enjoyed having a grill on our lanai where we had a prime view of the sunsets each evening! The grounds are well kept and lush and the proximity to Makena State Beach i.e Big Beach is a big plus. We recommend a visit to big beach, it is gorgeous! We highly recommend and will definitely return to Wialea Elua Village!!

Let's face it. If you are staying here, then you've gotten a rental car. The beach is MAYBE 2 minutes away. The views of the ocean and islands is gorgeous! Our condo was listed as partial ocean view but you could see the ocean on about 90% of the view because the property is terraced into the the island topography. So don't fret over that.
We also stayed at one of the 5 star resorts on the beach in Wailea for 5 days leading up to Ekolu. The only things we didn't have here were Koi ponds and a swim up groto bar.
If you need beach items like boogie boards, snorkel gear, etc they have them available. Kihei is also close by and a great place to take in the local flavors without the resort prices at the bottom of the slope. It's all so easy to get to.
The rooms are great. All the amenities you'd expect including grills to BBQ that included an LED light for evening (ours needed batteries since someone left it on) Peaceful property with courteous guests. We were just above one of the pools which was nice and clean.
All in all, I would highly recommend and remember you're in Maui. If you are not having fun, IT'S YOU!
