“Excellent hotel with great accommodation”

Our first trip to Maui, and we loved it. Honua Kai room was exceptional; full condo amenities, including kitchen and washer/dryer etc. Quietest hotel/condo we've ever stayed in. Immaculate in every way. Two minor comments on negative side; I called hotel ahead of trip to request special birthday package options (surprisingly they don't have any), and we visited lobby on day 2 asking for upgrade to ocean view from our parking lot view (they call it "mountain view"). I was willing to pay for the upgrade, not asking for a freebie. The desk promised to call us with response (they never did). Would stay there again, but make sure you know exactly where your room is.

Everything about this hotel is fantastic. Staff, accommodations, facilities all were great. Their were more small children there than I expected but there is lots for them to do so they weren't any inconvenience. You could walk to the grocery store and it was a convenient distance from Lahiana.

Stayed here and was thoroughly impressed. Room was enormous, full of cool appliances and kitchen ware so you can cook at home or go out whenever you please. Gorgeous location and the staff are very friendly and helpful.

The resort is beautiful with an expansive pool area. there is a dukes restaurant on the premises which is great. Also a nice, but expensive, cafe / deli on site. Rooms are very well equiped and spacious. Beds very comfortable. A supermarket is directly opposite the hotel and car hire places are very close. it's about an hour from the airport. we didn't leave the resort for days. Only very minor negatives were beach isn't brilliant for swimming as there is coral and some rips but the pool area is so nice it didn't worry us and we ordered a ocean view room but mainly looked over the pool area however this was partly due to being on the second floor. We were given a 2 bedroom unit rather than the one we ordered which was brilliant given we have a baby so didn't complain too much

“Perfect modern hotel in Maui”

We absolutely loved the Honua Kai and recommend this resort for travelers looking for a modern and comfortable suite for their stay in Ka'anapali, Maui. Wonderful staff, pools, property, rooms with full kitchen (stainless steel, etc.), full windows across the balcony that open up like an accordion to reveal the full lanai. The price we paid on Expedia was comparable to older hotels we saw, but the Honua Kai is practically brand new. The one drawback was the partial ocean view looked out at other hotels, so if your plan is to spend vacation on the balcony, make sure you have a full ocean view, or look down into the courtyard pools. Close to Lahaina, and there is a grocery store across the street - very convenient. Strongly recommend this hotel for fans of modern style and relaxing, comfortable stays. 5 stars across the board.

“A dream”

We had a two bedroom ocean view condo on the 7th floor. The view was spectacular. It was perfect for our family of 4. These are million dollar condos that are also available for sale. It was a home away from home. It included all appliances including a washer and dryer. We also received a small basket with dish soap, laundry detergent, etc. It was perfect. It has a few swimming pools, hot tubs, restaurant and access directly to the beach. It is about 5 minutes away from Front Street Lahaina. There is a Duke's restaurant on the property which is very nice overlooking the ocean. The staff was very nice and helpful. I will definitely be returning.

“When we save the money we will go back!”

The resort was right by the beach on a beautiful part of the Maui coast line. The grounds of the resort were amazing with multiple pools and hot tubs. There was a first class restaurant right on the grounds of the resort. The staff were very friendly and helpful with a Concierge in the main lobby,very con venient to arrange trips. We stayed in the newer of the two towers on the seventh floor. Our studio Suite was very well appointed with a full kitchen and a very comfortable king sized bed. The unit was so quiet at night you would swear there was no one else in the resort! We would strongly recommend this resort. It was a great value.

“Very nice stay”

Great location...centrally located between Kapalua and Lahaina and there is a Times market across the street. There is a great Sushi restaurant called Sansei's in Kapalua and it's fun to spend an afternoon shopping in Lahaina. The rooms are very nice and quiet, with very comfortable mattresses. Having Dukes restaurant poolside is a great plus as well! Would definitely stay again.
