Beautiful hotel! Great pool!

Great Experience and the staff was very friendly everywhere. Get prepared to spend a LOT of money on food though. It's not cheap to eat in Maui. Plan on double everywhere you go!

A Shocking Return Visit

Pros: The location.
Cons: Furnishings, food, and service.
This was our third visit to the Hyatt Regency Maui, although the first one in six years. Apparently, Hyatt has decided to focus on their new timeshare condominium and neglect the hotel property. The rooms and common areas were worn and outdated, the food service was poor, and staff were visibly dissatisfied and unhelpful. There were plenty of sales representatives devoted to the new condominium, and we were constantly offered freebies if we would take a tour. It is too bad there wasn't more focus on satisfying the needs of the hotel clientele. You would think that Hyatt would consider Maui a flagship location, but there was no sign of that from the way the property was managed. Save yourself a disappointment and book somewhere else.

great hotel excellent food and clean property. beautiful views of the coast. However, I have 1 complaint. I booked a helicopter tour of maui at the hotel which was a joint venture between Hyatt and Expedia. The brochure showed a rate that was much cheaper than booking online. I decided to book the tour and after my card was swiped the actual bill was 100.00 higher. The clerk stated that these were taxes and fuel surcharges which amounted to 50.00 per person. This was not mentioned anywhere in the brochure. As a result, I would not use this service again. The helicopter tour itself was great just beware the pricing as presented by the hotel.

We truly enjoyed our stay. We had exceptional service by upon check in. We plan on returning to the Hyatt on our next visit to Maui. We rate it a 5+ experience!

We had a wonderful time. Enjoyed the food and drinks, beach, laui, and shops. The beds are comfortable and homey room.

Awesome stay in Maui! Really nice and a great first brief visit to Maui - there is a major construction project going on next door but it didn't impact my visit really.
