“Good Value”
Rooms were very nice and spacious. Hotel common areas need updating. The elevator outside our room was out of service for the week we were there. The food at the breakfast buffet was fair. The pool was very nice as was the beach. Overall, the room was great and that made the stay positive. Would try another hotel for our next visit. We were approached only once by the time share people and never again. This was not an issue for us.
“Completely disappointed”
We have stayed here in the past which is why we choose to go back but this time around we were completely disappointed! The room smelt like a musty mildew every time we entered it. We put the "privacy tag" on the door, instead of housekeeping knocking on the door every morning they decided to call us (usually early) to see if we wanted them to clean it...if I wanted housekeeping I would've taken the sign off the door! The front desk gave us a wake up call at 6:30 in the morning so we'd make our trip to Hana...except we didn't have a trip to Hana planned...they apparently wrote down the wrong room number! Some of the furniture was newer than other pieces, like the dressers but the couch was kind of shabby and the bed seemed a bit old. There were tiles loose in the bathroom and the curtains were sticking and tough to pull closed and they had stains on them. The tv's were flat screens and mounted to the wall but the remotes barely worked. All in all, I would certainly think twice before I PAY to go back here, if it's offered to us free, I might consider it.
“Will definetly stay here again.”
Rooms were really nice and spacious. This property had the best pool around. We politely declined the timeshare presentation and it was not a problem. The only negative would be that the outside needs a paint job but the grounds are very nice. Excellent value for the money. We will stay here again.
“Nice place to stay”
Hotel is a nice place to stay. Ammenities are great. The few things lacking are a stove top, a washer and dryer in the unit, and a real fitness center (not a tiny room with a few equipment). Overall I was satisfied with my stay here. I would consider going back again.
“so so”
This place has both good and bad to it. The service staff is great from vallet and bell hops to front desk. The fitness center is tiny and crowded. The pool is ok and food and beverage are ok. The rooms are nice sized but only partly updated. The beds and TV's are nice and new the rest is worn and old and the AC has a terrible moldy smell. The big draw back is the timeshare thing. If your not an owner you are treated like you don't belong there. We were badgerd by the timeshare staff and repeatedly questioned as to how we got a room there. We answerd that we booked it through expedia and were told that they don't rent rooms to the general public and asked how we got around there rules. The timeshare staff is not very welcoming. They treated us like second class citizens and then were upset when we didn't want to buy into thier program. After refusing to buy our maid service in our room stopped. Ok the maid did show up at 8:30 the next night as we were getting ready for bed. For us the time share people made this an unpleasent stay and we checked out a day early and stayed elsewhere.
“beautiful panarama”
A truly beautiful place to stay on west Maui. Very clean. Staff was very frinedly.
“Avoid this hotel”
Don't stay there.
“Better than I expected”
This was our second Hawaii trip this year so we were on a strict budget. We usually stay at the Sheraton but the price at the Beach Club was much better so we decided to give it a try. Our expectations were low but we were very surprised when we arrived. The room was large and very comfortable. The location was good and the staff were great. We will consider this place again in the future.
“Great price/good lodging,”
The Kaanapali Beach Club Resort was good for our family. Most of the hotel personnel were great. The concierge center was wonderful and very accommodating to help find our family great deals for surrounding activities. The only real problem that we had was with the housekeeping. One day they didn't make up one of the beds and we put our used towels back on the towel racks for re-use to help the hotel with environmental conservation; however, everyday we received new towels.
“Ever thing was perfect.”
The room,The view,The staff,The food,The friday bbq by the pool.Every thing was perfect.Timeshare staff never did approach us.The hotel is beautiful. Why pay for a hotel room when you can have a 820 sf apt.on Maui?Pay for deluxe ocean view its worth every cent.
