“"see you again next year"”
I have stayed here 4 times in as many years, and plan on many more. The staff are amazingly polite, and we love the fact we get to come back to the same faces year in and out,as well as return guest that come back each year that we have come to know and enjoy. While the hotel could use some up-dating,the gounds are kept beautiful and have crews working non-stop to keep it that way. The restauraunt isn't cheap (none are around there),but the food is wonderful and comes with great evening shows that you can also enjoy from the Tiki bar.For a quick cheaper meal, you can't beat the Tiki Grill next to it!A cold beer and burger by the QUIET pool is hard to come by. I'd have to say my only problem with the hotel is no hot-tub.I probably wouldn't use it anyway! For the price, people, location and the peace and quiet,I'll give up the fancy room I'm not going to spend any time in. I'll be there for years to come...See you at the beach!
“my review”
this is nice hotel. We got from it more than we expected for the price
“Nice Older Hotel”
Overall I would give this nice old hotel a 3 out of 5. The hotel location is wonderful; nice beaches and right next to Lahaina. The hotel is a nice older hotel that is need of more maintenance. The elevators in our building worked in general, but often had a mind of their own; refusing to close the doors and move! The single computer in the lobby for flight check ins was broken for several days and when it was repaired was the slowest setup I have seen since the web became mainstream. The "free"/"Welcome" breakfast should be avoided. Not a timeshare pitch, but just as bad.........pitches for all of the wonderful tours you can buy from them on your vacation. No workout facilities. This hotel is a great layed back location on beautiful real estate....with very friendly and helpful staff. If your hotel is to be homebase for your adventures, and not the vacation itself.....I think you will like it. If you are looking for upscale and huge/modern amenities that will be your adventure.... you should look to one of the adjacent hotels. I would use this hotel again.......but would rate shop knowing their deficiencies.
“Love this place”
This place is so relaxing and perfect. The grounds are beautiful and you can choose to lie in the sun or shade without being crowded in unlike the more up-market hotels along the beach. The pool is great and the beach is just a few steps away. The restaurant and bar are excellent and the staff are always warm and friendly.
“Nice Hotel”
Nice experience.
“Hawaiian Serenity”
I would stay here again. As comfortable as home...without the rain.
“Great honeymoon spot”
We stayed for four days during November and the hospitality was absolutely great! The hotel is a bit old but Maui doesn't need a lot of bells and whistles to be enjoyable. The location near the golf course, shops and beach was very convenient. We're definitely looking forward to staying here in the future.
“Loved It!”
The hotel staff, culture, and values make this hotel awesome. The rooms are simple and clean with the basic amenities. The grounds are really nice and the location can't be beat. However, it is the spirit of the hotel, grounded in Hawaiian culture and values that define the character of the hotel and make it a shining star.
“Great place for the chill”
Don't expect much out of the appearance of the hotel and the rooms. It's great for the location to the beach. The staff at the tiki bar is great, chantel and Suzette. The grounds are spacious and open as for the outside. Older feel but great to have music and shows at night. They charge for everything, Internet, safe parking, you name it. I guess in Maui they charge for everything now. If you don't plan to be in your room and want the beach or excursions. Thisnis great place. Plus theyngive you a kukui shell lei.
“Love the hospitality”
I love this hotel. This is the second time we have stayed there and I will definately go back. The atmosphere at the hotel is unique and much better than any of the other hotels we have stayed at. The entire experience feels like a piece of paradice as opposed to being at a hotel (like hotels in any other city), just this time with a nice view. Hawaii is so much more than just nice weather and scenery. KBH enbraces the culture and emerges their guests into a wonderful experience.
