Very nice hotel on the beachPosted Jan 30, 2015
Pros: Location and facilities
Cons: A shuttle to and from the airport
We enjoyed our experience very much and hope to come back. Staff was helpful and rooms were clean. We were able to walk the beach and only a short walk to good shopping.

Great place, great valuePosted Jan 28, 2015
Pros: great beach. Very convenicent for multiple activities. Beds confortable,
Cons: Wifi signal was weak,
Location: plenty if beach activities. We learned to paddle board.
Comfortable room, nice facilities, great value. My #1 concern was the rate I got for the hotel was so much lower than other hotels in the area - that I might not be satisfied with the property - I was pleasantly surprized to fine no deficiencies. I also did not feel nickel & dimed for everything which I understand can be a problem on Maui.

Perfect Hawaiian vacationPosted Jan 27, 2015
Pros: Right by the beach and the staff is excellent..the tiki hut is fabulous and the nightly entertainment is so much fun
Cons: Some of the rooms are a bit dated
Location: Beach, whale watching ,Whalers village are awesome
This is our 2nd stay here. We could not have been happier ! This is not the typical resort, tall buildings and flash. If that's what you want don't stay here. This is the friendliest, warmest place we could have hoped for. The staff is helpful and does everything to make your stay as welcoming as possible.

I love the location of this hotel & viewPosted Jan 26, 2015
Pros: Location location location. Great views of the ocean from the room & very friendly staff.
Cons: New BEDS!!
Location: The location is very close to Whalers Village with lots of shopping and restaurants. There is also a shuttle that picks up right out front to Lahaina
The room was nice and clean and the view was amazing. I went to the beach every day as it was so close and not crowded. The staff was very helpful and they even offer a hospitality suite to use for clean up if your departure is late in the day. The only problem I had was the comfort of the bed. That is really a deal breaker for me as a rule, but this hotel offered so many wonderful options that I will stay here whenever I'm on this side of the island.

We really enjoyed our stay!Posted Jan 25, 2015
Pros: The location was great and the staff was very welcoming. The bar made good drinks.
Cons: The spots in the parking garage are pretty tight.
Location: Snorkeling at Black Rock is great. Walking down the boardwalk to the other restraurants and bars was nice.
Nice grounds. Friendly and helpful staff- quickly responded to our needs and questions. Clean room. Great location on the beach! Would stay again!!

CharmingPosted Jan 25, 2015
Pros: Atmosphere and friendly staff and friendly other visitors. Beach access was excellent.
Cons: Rooms could be updated a little, airconditioning noisy, so we turned it off and used ceiling fan that was so much better.l
Location: Location was good right on beautiful beach. But hire a car from airport to get around as cab fares expeneive. All activities available from hotel.
A beautiful old world charming Hawaiian hotel, that has tradition everywhere. We loved our stay, rooms a little old but very very comfortable just airconditioning noisy. Walk along path in front of hotel / s at night was lovely and lots of other choices to eat and drink if you want. Make sure you visit Lahaina town just 15 mins by local bus up the road, its great. Went out on fishing trip and disappointing as no hands on and boat trolling aroung just running lures. We did not even get a bite in 6 hours and no hands on other hand rods, so for the cost expensive day sitting on a boat. Loved our stay otherwise.

Older hotel on the beachPosted Jan 24, 2015
Pros: Very, very friendly staff. Rooms are clean, good view. The grounds are kept up nicely. This is a good location close to the stores at Whalers wharf.
Cons: Tiki bar serves very little alcohol in their exotic drinks. ( I watched from the end of the bar). Wifi only in the courtyard and spotty at that.
Location: Whalers wharf, restaurants and stores 5 minutes on the boardwalk.
Everything went smooth here. Pick up right off the beach for some tours. This hotel has everything the larger hotels have but in a smaller capacity. The sound of the ocean in the rooms at night was very relaxing.

Very nice hotel with good service, great location.Posted Jan 23, 2015
Pros: Location, service, "village green" ambience, proximity to ocean.
Cons: No major problems.
Location: Excellent ocean-front location, near Black Rock snorkeling, Whaler's Village and Lahaina, so lots to do.
Very good experience, though room rates, via Expedia, were an issue, as traveling companions, booking directly, got a much better rate.

Excellent value for locationPosted Jan 21, 2015
Pros: Location is exceptional
Cons: The Internet infrastructure is very limited
Location: Whalers Mall Black Rock Kaanapali Beach Snorkeling Paddling Catamaran boats
I would recommend this Hotel for anybody that wants to explore the West and South parts of Maui without spending too much. The hotel is located a walking distance to the Black Rock at the Kaanapali beach. By car you are going to be 10 minutes from Lahaina, 25 minutes from the South or Honolua bay, and 45 to the airport . Near the hotel there is a Mall with an affordable food court as well a small market and many stores. The bedrooms are clean and comfortable and they have a nice view of the Kaanapali beach. The hotel is less fancy than the other hotels in the area. But for the price and location you are not going to find anything better. Parking costs 11 dollars day. In the second day the Hotel provided a free breakfast buffet, and presented a small talk about hotel facilities as well some top attraction of Maui. I also recommended the Legends of Kaanapali Luau that takes places on every Monday in the hotel precincts. A great show about Hawaii traditions and local food. Pros: Location, Price and the Staff Cons: No Internet Access at the bedrooms.

Nice hotel close to beach and WhalersPosted Jan 21, 2015
Location: The location is right on the beach and a very short walk to Whalers Village.
Ocean front rooms have a million dollar view! and the drinks at the pool bar were very reasonable.
