Awesome ocean viewPosted Sep 9, 2013
Pros: Clean and calm and nice view
The condo was really clean and the view was breathtaking. The ocean is just 10 feet from the condo and you can sip your tea viewing awesome sunset from the balcony. The only shortcome that I could see is the condo doesn't have wifi , just cable internet and the 3G is not good in that complex. It doesn't have AC but the breeze from the ocean is more than enough for a comfortable stay.

Away from the crowdPosted Jul 30, 2013
Pros: Its location and the condo features and landscaping.
Cons: The people were not very friendly there, and there was no one in charge to speak to when issues came up or we wanted directions or information.
My fiance and I enjoyed our stay at the Kahana Reef Condo. The condo itself was perfect--great kitchen with all the amenities; nicely furnished and the deck opened out to the grounds and ocean. Our unit was on the ground floor right in front of the pool, hich gave us very little privacy and our ocean view was blocked by the fence surrounding the pool. If we were to stay here agai we would ask for an ocean-view condo on a higher floor. The coolest thing about our condo was the turtles that were feeding on the rocks just below the surface of the water right below the rock wall of the condo building itself. We often went out to sit on the rocky steps leading down to the water just to watch the turtles bob up and down in the water. Awesome!! We didn't go in the water there, as it looked murky and the access was rocky. Also it was good to be away from all of the big resorts in Ka'anapali, and closer to the lovely beaches of Napili and Kapalua.

This location was very relaxing but did not have air conditioning (unit 207) which made it difficult to sleep at night.

Aloha and Thank you for your review. This property does not have air conditioning but there are always ocean breezes here on Maui which usually makes the unit very comfortable. I apologize that you are were not comfortable during the night. It is great to hear that despite the air conditioning issue you were able to relax because of the great location of this property and the ocean front views that all of the condos have. We look forward to accommodating you again here on Maui. Mahalo (Thank you), Marina, Manager at Maui Condo and Home.

Someone is sleeping in our bed...Posted Mar 4, 2013
This place was okay, in need of some updated drapes and lampshades, more glassware is needed. Overall it met our needs but did not exceed. some confusion upon check in, the previous guests were still occupying the condo but they were out for the day. Their things had to be removed and placed in storage. We then checked in and unpacked, but when the guests returned and confronted us, it was rather uncomfortable...

Aloha and Thank you for your review. I appreciate all of your feedback and we will certainly work on making all suggested improvements. I sincerely apologize that you felt uncomfortable. The condos are rented out for specific periods of time and there is a check in and check out time which is provided in the guests paperwork, it is posted in the units and we notify the guests of the check out time when we call to check on their arrival and when we call before their departure. I hope you return to Maui and return to the Kahana Reef or one of Maui Condo and Home's other properties. Please feel free to contact our office with any questions. Mahalo (Thank you), Marina, Manager at Maui Condo and Home.

Great ocean view with peace and quiet!Posted Nov 14, 2012
Pros: The unit was beautiful and clean and had a great sunset view.
Cons: No beach to walk on.
Unit 207 was wonderful, with a beautiful ocean and sunset view. It was remodelled recently and has all the amenities. The grounds are well cared for. A small beach is nearby within walking distance. We enjoyed the quiet. Remember to call ahead before arrival to get the access code. Aloha!

Bucket list completePosted Jun 16, 2012
Pros: Upgrades, tv, bathroom
Cons: A tv in bedroom and bath would have been great
Location: Great, close to everything we love to do
Grounds were immaculate, room 207 was very nicely updated and comfortable, the boogie boards saved us money also. I would highly recommend this room and also Kahan Reef to anyone.

Kahana Reef Condo, Mauii, HawaiiPosted Mar 30, 2012 on Hotels.com
The bed was comfortable, spectacular view of ocean. Would have liked free internet, larger pool. A/c not necessary with the fans provided. There were lots of linens, kitchen supplies. A couple of kitchen towels would be helpful.Appreciated free local phone calls. The chairs on balcony were not very comfortable. A couple of lower, comfortable chairs would have been great. We read that there was a problem with ants! There was no problem at all with ants.
