Spacious Condo in KapaluaPosted Jan 24, 2015
Pros: Spacious condo. Very clean and very quiet. Nice large balcony/patio overlooking the golf course.
Cons: Nothing. A great condo and very beautiful and peaceful area.
Location: Honolulu store is close by for groceries. Several local beaches. 4 pools available to our condo unit. Golf. Numerous opportunities for peaceful walks.
Very nice one-bedroom condo in Kapalua adjacent to the Bay Course. The views of the golf course and ocean on the horizon are very pleasing and refreshing. The complex is very quiet, beautifully landscaped and private. There are several nearby beaches that are worth visiting; Kapalua Beach, Napili Beach and Slaughterhouse Beach.

The more features, the more to maintainPosted Jan 7, 2015
Pros: Location and size of condos.
Cons: Better maintenance.
Location: Quiet location close to golf, beaches
The use of the front door code wasn't well explained when we checked in. Several things were inop when we got in and the promised maintenance person didn't show up. So I fixed what I could myself and we elected to live with the rest. The cordless phone was inop. Somebody had tried to use the power supply for the answering machine to fix it thereby rendering it inop too. Both TVs were disconnected from the cable. The batteries in the one TV remote we used were almost dead so we robbed the DVD remote, but the TV remote still didn't work well. The bathroom vanity lights were inop. The deck and furniture off the living room had dirt and bird droppings on them. The door to the deck off the bedroom was unlocked. There were a lot of other appliances and features we never tried so don't know if they were functional or not. I got the impression that the suite had not been occupied for a while and not recently inspected or cleaned.

Really nice but...Posted Jan 6, 2015
Pros: Almost everything: location, atmosphere, installations...
Cons: Second bed in Villas
Everything is wonderfull in the Resort, but for a three people family, as it was our case, the second bed (a sofa in the living room) is really terrible.

Villa has not been updated in 20 years. You pay for cleaning but this had not been performed before we arrived. It was dusty and stunk.

Overpriced and uneven qualityPosted Dec 1, 2014
Pros: Beautifully maintained grounds. Pleasant and helpful staff. Very good quality bedding. Lots of towels. En suite laundry. Nearby parking.
Cons: Cleanliness, providing a teapot, a working stove, not renting out a unit that was clearly mildew/mold damaged, noisy air conditioning
Location: On a world class golf course, beautiful beaches within walking distance, an array of hiking trails, small but expensive store
We booked two units for 4 adults and a child. One of the units smelled so badly of mildew we had to get moved to another unit. Even though we paid a $25 per day resort fee, many of the services advertised (e.g., discount access to spa and fitness centre were not available), one of our phones only worked for calling out and couldn't receive incoming calls. The ceramic cook top in one of the units was unreliable. No tea pots.

Home Away from HomePosted Nov 19, 2014
Pros: Everything. Spacious, updated, quiet, peaceful...and everything we needed or wanted to visit within minutes away.
Cons: The appliances were outdated but functional. The smoke alarm was hanging from the ceiling and the kitchen cabinets and knobs were sticky.
Location: Snorkeling and sun bathing beaches are less than 5-minutes away. Shopping at Whalers Village and the boardwalk at Kaanapali only 10-minutes away.
Absolutely STUNNING setting and accommodations!! Incredible ocean views, beautiful drive through the community with tree-lined roads and golf course views everywhere. The suite itself was updated with granite countertops, oversized, tiled 2-headed shower, huge master bedroom suite with lots of storage, large HD TV with Wi-Fi and nice carpet in the living areas. Also a large patio with views of the neighboring islands. We could have cooked a Turkey dinner in the kitchen! Dining area, living room, complete with 2-bathrooms (which really came in handy). Great for entertaining (yes, everyone wanted to 'hang-out' at our place). Golfing, multiple tennis courts and 4-swimming pools...the perfect resort! There was also a small market on-site which had everything from wine, spirits, groceries, T-shirts and more. Two beaches within minutes for sunning or snorkeling. I honestly didn't want to leave!

Great place in west mauiPosted Oct 15, 2014
Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. We stayed in a one bedroom, kitchen was great and a money saver as we ate breakfast and lunch there. In unit washer/dryer was a great perk. Close to 3 great beaches, golf courses, and plenty of shopping.

Variable qualityPosted Oct 8, 2014
Having stayed in a Gold Villa on a previous occasion we very disappointed with the villa we were given, as the condition was very poor, not clean enough and the air con in the lounge did not work and had been replaced by a portable unit vented through a window with tape. This was neither acceptable or capable of maintaining the temperature desired. Fortunately we were able to be moved to a very nice villa. You have to pay additional charges for using the resort pools, e.t.c was in force on our previous stay, but adding a big cleaning charge is a bit of a joke. Perhaps on our next stay we will be asked to pay for extra leg room or priority check in. On the whole this is a great place, but the spa has been sold, therefore no longer covered by the resort charge and the lovely shop has been sold to ABC stores, modernised and totally lost it's appeal. The fabulous Pineapple Grill is now offering average food at high prices and we only visited once. Mostly disappointing. To soon to say if we will return.
