Great ViewPosted Feb 7, 2014
Pros: Loved the view and how quiet it was.
Cons: King size bed would be nice and the hallways could use an face lift.
Location: It was nice and close to all the shopping on Front Street.
Went for our belated honeymoon and it was nice and quiet and private. Snorkeling out the front of the hotel was awesome, lots of coral and colorful little fish. I would suggest a room with a view as I spent many hours sitting out on the deck watching the whales. Everything you need is within walking distant but a car is handy so you can explore the rest of the Island. The beach out the front of the resort is very nice and not too many people on it.

Close to the beach in a historic townPosted Feb 3, 2014
Pros: The staff, beds/pillows, lanai, cleanliness, beach access with lawn chairs.
Cons: Our specific condo could use some renovations to update to a more modern look.
Location: Beach access, tons of choices for restaurants and shops right down the street, short walk to Lahaina Harbor. Great location to stay on Maui!
We stayed at Lahaina Shores for 5 nights in a studio room with a mountain view on the 6th floor. The condo was very clean and tidy and stocked with all the necessary kitchen utensils. The condo itself could use a little sprucing up or updating but that didn't make one bit of difference when it came to enjoying our stay. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. All of the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The beach is right out the back doors of the hotel and wasn't busy at all (at least while we were there.) However, the pool and especially the hot tub were always busy, so we never had an opportunity to try them out. Being our first time to Maui, we lucked out choosing to stay in Lahaina since Front St has tons of choices for restaurants and shops. Each night we could just walk to dinner. If we had reservations for any tours or cruises we could take a short walk over to Lahaina Harbor and not have to stress over where to park. Overall great place to stay!

Great place to stay!Posted Dec 23, 2013
We loved our stay here. Our family booked three rooms and all of them were comfortable. Some were newly renovated and some were not, the sunset views make the ocean front rooms worth the extra cost. Easy walking distance to shops and restaurants, very friendly staff. We will definitely stay here again.

Awesome view of the ocean. Perfectly situated to walk downtown. The kitchen was great and the staff were helpful.

Lovely and peacefulPosted Dec 12, 2013
Cons: Can't think of a thing.
Location: I enjoyed the whale watching tour and the Maui Ocean Center. My grandson lives in Maui, so he was my tour guide.
I am an active 80 year old so I loved being able to walk from one end of Front St to the other as well as walk your lovely beach several times each day. When I come back (soon, I hope) you will see me again! Your entire staff gets an A+ rating from me! Thank you!

Beach front location.Posted Nov 22, 2013 on Hotels.com
The resort is right on the beach and walking distance to Lahaina. The room we had was very roomy and comfortable. Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The room had a kitchen that was fully stocked with all of the cooking utensils you would need to cook up your own meals to save on the high cost of eating in Maui. There is also a Safeway close by to get groceries. The only thing lacking was WiFi and a place to workout on site. We will definitely return here in the near future.

Nice room but musty - Do not take the room 218Posted Nov 20, 2013
Cons: The mattress was too soft
Location: Location close to art galleries and restaurants by walk. It nearby to the beautiful Kaanapali Beach. It is just 10 minutes driving
The room was nice in general. It is spacious but not too big. It has a small well equipped kitchenette. The bathroom is big in comparison with others hotels, it is almost 7 square meter or 75 square ft. Despite this, there is a few thinks that I have to say about room 218. The lanai is over the roof of the entrance and we always had a view to the reed roof, it was not nice. The room was musty. We did not find why or in which part was that bad smell. We had to have the windows open all the time. Finally, the mattress was too soft and it was very uncomfortable sleep in that bed. Enjoy Lahaina, it is a beautiful place in Maui.

Next door to the Shops at 505Posted Nov 20, 2013
Pros: I liked that the photos on the website were just like the hotel!!!! No surprises :)
Cons: I would more normally complain that there is no snack bar, but the convenient store next door was just close of a walk to complain.
Location: On the beach and walking distance to everything!!!
Great location on the beach. Next door to the Shops at 505 where you will find excellent casual and upscale restaurants, a convenient store with quick bites like sandwiches, etc., gifts, all the other things a convenient store offers. Loved my stay. It is just a few blocks away from downtown Lahaina. We never used our car when we did things in Lahaina, only when we went snorkeling, Road to Hana, Up Haleakala, etc. The hotel and rooms were very clean. I will stay here again when I visit Maui again. No frills makes this a three star hotel, but It is as comfortable as a 4 star and location is 5 star.
