“BEWARE NOT A RESORT - STAFF LAZY - SERVICE HORRIBLE”

Maui is a "do it yourself" type vibe in general which is ok, but at a resort you expect some level of service. The concierge and the water activities staff was helpful, but the rest of the staff was horrible. Valet service was slow, lazy, and almost expected us to open the door for them, after they retrieved the car. The house keeping was rude, and did not want to make up the rooms if you slept in or left the room late, after their schedule to clean the rooms. The rest of the staff did not care. Maybe because it is a time share that has been sold over many times, but for this level of service, rent a condo. Why would you go here on vacation, and pay resort prices when you are expected to work around the staff. This place was an over priced motel. Great location, cant knock that, but there were other resorts in the vicinity with in the same price range. BIG MISTAKE - STAY AWAY.
