Exceeded ExpectationsPosted Sep 28, 2014
Pros: Staff was top notch and treated us like it was a 5 star resort. Great central island location and walking distance to beaches.
Location: Snorkeling, sunbathing, beaches, surfing, paddle boarding, craft markets and shopping,
My wife and I stayed in Kehei, Maui for 7 nights. The hotel was super nice. They say its a "3 star" - but I would rate it higher and way above average compared to other 3 star hotels we've stayed at, especially on the service end. The staff treated us like it was a 5 star resort and very friendly and accommodating. The hotel was super clean and quiet and very new feeling, not old. The location is perfect as there are several nice beaches and shopping within walking distance from the hotel. The location was also a perfect place for those wanting to explore both sides of the island as Kehei is more centrally located. We could drive the road to Hana, head up the 10,000 ft. Haleakala crater, or head over to Kaanapali, Lahaina and Kapalua. There is also a lot to see right near Kehei as there is great snorkeling just minutes away at Ulua and Maluaka Beaches in Wailea. For those just wanting big sand beaches - plenty of it near here such as Makena beach park. We would highly recommend this place and definitely stay again.

Awesome hotel with the beach across the street!Posted Sep 26, 2014
Our experience at the Maui Coast Hotel was amazing from the moment we walked in to when we checked out. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The beach is literally across the street! We will definitely be staying at this hotel every time we come to Maui!

Nice hotel and good location!Posted Sep 22, 2014
Very nice clean hotel just across from the beach! Staff are friendly and helpful. The pool is a bit small and always busy. Please make note of the resort fee of $17.50 per day! I think it's too expensive! We didn't take out the bikes (it's covered by the resort fee) as we were told by many ppl online that it's not safe to bike in Kihei. There are many good restaurants in the area. If you are staying here make sure you try Koiso Sushi and 800 Deli Sandwich. Koiso is small and very busy, make sure you make reservation or if you are lucky (like us), they take walk-ins after 8pm. Overall it's a great stay!

Wonderful!Posted Sep 22, 2014
Pros: Loved the location, the service, the fitness center, the shuttle, everything!!
Location: Within walking distance of many shops, grocery stores, restaurants and across the street from a great beach! Also very close to the bus stop.
I had a reservation for a deluxe room and after getting in the room was a little disappointed in the size. Although it was a very nice room, I had just spent the week in Ka'anapali in a very large resort timeshare. I went to the front desk and inquired about an upgrade and they were able to change my room then. I loved the junior suite and the additional cost was well worth it.

wonderful stay!Posted Sep 21, 2014
Hotel staff was friendly, Terry checked us in then sent us a bottle of champagne (we were on our honeymoon). The hotel was small enough to feel intimate. Hotel was clean. The food and drinks at the pool were very well priced. The bands at night were fun to listen too after a long day in the sun. We went to another hotel for a luau and while it was grand, I was very happy we stayed at the maui coast. I highly recomend this hotel.

Comfort at a great price!Posted Sep 19, 2014
Pros: The internet connection, comfortable bed and room, and the friendly and prompt service.
Cons: Nothing stands out for improvement
Location: Short walking distance to great food. Cafe O Lei and the Thai Bistro were excellent. There is a ABC store and a natural food store also close by.
We were impressed by the cleanliness and comfort of our room. The bed was very comfortable. We took advantage of the free towels (nice because when they were sandy we didn't have to deal with them.) We appreciated the free laundry facility. (Had to pay .75 for laundry detergent) but the washers were new and clean. We certainly enjoyed the 2 bottles of water we got every day. We didn't get around to biking, but there were plenty of bikes to choose from. If you rent bikes, you'd easily pay the amount of the resort fee. The wet bar proved useful; we had breakfast most days on our small balcony. And even the hotel coffee was pretty good. (Most places it tastes horrible). Yes, the balcony didn't view the ocean, but it also didn't look right into another building. We could even glimpse the sunsets. The beach is only a short walk across the street, not even a block away. And the beach there was wonderful with soft sand and swimmable. We were there during a south swell that made other beaches, like Big Beach dangerous. In all, we had a wonderful vacation here and would return again. Oh and the internet was AWESOME! The best connectivity we've every had at a hotel!

Very friendly staffPosted Sep 17, 2014
Pros: The staff
Cons: air conditioning in the hallways and more washer and dryers
Location: We did alot of tours, but there's plenty of shopping within walking distance and lots of places to eat. The beach is right across the street.
We arrived early so our room wasn't ready yet, the front desk staff were very apologetic and told us to leave our luggage with them and go to the pool cafe while we waited. Once we got checked in, they brought our luggage up to us. Our room was very nice and clean. All the staff were helpful and very pleasant. The only downfall is there isn't air conditioning in the hallways. So all in all we had a great vacation and we plan on going back in a few years. If you want to be away from the *touristy* islands Maui is the place to go.

Over price.Posted Sep 15, 2014
Good rewie is not working good for the hotel customers. Positive feedbacks making the price very high. It's looks like the management is taking adventure of people's kindness. $447/nt it's just unreal.
