Comfort at a great price!

Posted Sep 19, 2014
Pros: The internet connection, comfortable bed and room, and the friendly and prompt service.
Cons: Nothing stands out for improvement
Location: Short walking distance to great food. Cafe O Lei and the Thai Bistro were excellent. There is a ABC store and a natural food store also close by.
We were impressed by the cleanliness and comfort of our room. The bed was very comfortable. We took advantage of the free towels (nice because when they were sandy we didn't have to deal with them.) We appreciated the free laundry facility. (Had to pay .75 for laundry detergent) but the washers were new and clean. We certainly enjoyed the 2 bottles of water we got every day. We didn't get around to biking, but there were plenty of bikes to choose from. If you rent bikes, you'd easily pay the amount of the resort fee. The wet bar proved useful; we had breakfast most days on our small balcony. And even the hotel coffee was pretty good. (Most places it tastes horrible). Yes, the balcony didn't view the ocean, but it also didn't look right into another building. We could even glimpse the sunsets. The beach is only a short walk across the street, not even a block away. And the beach there was wonderful with soft sand and swimmable. We were there during a south swell that made other beaches, like Big Beach dangerous. In all, we had a wonderful vacation here and would return again. Oh and the internet was AWESOME! The best connectivity we've every had at a hotel!

Very friendly staff

Posted Sep 17, 2014
Pros: The staff
Cons: air conditioning in the hallways and more washer and dryers
Location: We did alot of tours, but there's plenty of shopping within walking distance and lots of places to eat. The beach is right across the street.
We arrived early so our room wasn't ready yet, the front desk staff were very apologetic and told us to leave our luggage with them and go to the pool cafe while we waited. Once we got checked in, they brought our luggage up to us. Our room was very nice and clean. All the staff were helpful and very pleasant. The only downfall is there isn't air conditioning in the hallways. So all in all we had a great vacation and we plan on going back in a few years. If you want to be away from the *touristy* islands Maui is the place to go.

Over price.

Good rewie is not working good for the hotel customers. Positive feedbacks making the price very high. It's looks like the management is taking adventure of people's kindness. $447/nt it's just unreal.

nice stay

Posted Sep 14, 2014
Just spent 8 nights at this hotel-very nice place, the people were wonderful-someone is doing a incredible job with the staff if they are that pleasant and helpful all the time...The hotel provides coffee, microwave and fridge in the room as well as free wi-fi and free parking and waterbottles placed in the fridge (included with daily service fee that pretty much have to pay to all hotels but well worth it). Full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner and bath gel in the room and beach towels at the front desk to take to the pool and/or beach so save some room in your bag for other stuff like snacks for your jaunts around the island. The beach access is a block from the hotel but it is no big deal to walk that every day-other stores/shopping restaurants are a close walk.

I wish that the hotel would be right on the beach and not across the road. That is the onle wish I could have.

4 days in Kihea Maui.

Posted Sep 11, 2014
Son wanted to learn to surf. Surfing school & equipment rental is right down the street. We also took a SCUBA lesson and went for an intro dive. I am an airline pilot by trade and our crews often stay at the Maui Coast. The Maui Coast has friendly staff, easy access to a public beach across the street, good food and live music at the bar.

Amazing!

I had wonderful times at Maui Coast. I stayed at the King Suit, and the front desk staff were very kind. The rooms were spacious, clean, great amenities. Rooms are not facing with the busy road, so it was quiet. They have beautiful jacuzzi and a pool. The beach side restaurant has a great menu, and I especially enjoyed appetizers, happy hour drinks, and the taro quinoa salad!! The only issues were housekeeping. They all leave at 4. So, make sure to get what you need by then. If you stay in the balcony at night, you will be attacked by mosquitoes...

Hotel walking distance to excellent beach

Posted Sep 6, 2014
Pros: Location, pool, beach. Centrally located on island
Cons: Coffee in rooms is terrible, have fridge so they could supply creamers.
Location: Beach, many rentals, many airlines use it for their crews, good sign
Lovely hotel with pool across the street from pristine beach. Walking distance to restaurants, grocery store, surf shops, moped rentals. Car rental on site, excellent as it is needed to visit the island thoroughly. Concierge gives wonderful introduction to island on first morning and is great for making reservations and recommendations. Towel service, yeah. Shuttle service great. Personnel very helpful.
