Pleasure and leisurePosted Mar 16, 2015
Pros: Nice room, close to the ocean, quiet, clean room.
Cons: Parking is a hassle. If you expect to arrive late, you'll have to park in the back and it's a long walk to your room
Location: Haleakala, beaches
On vacation in Hawaii and I needed a convenient location

Didn't expect too much and so we really weren't that disappointed. The girl who checked us in was not at all personable to the point of being quite rude. Was surprised to read that they are the only Hawaiian hotel chain on the island and pride themselves on their Aloha spirit. It was lost on this receptionist. The room was clean and very large. Good location just very rundown.

Friendly & cleanPosted Mar 14, 2015
Pros: Easy to find, clean and comfortable.
The staff was very hospitable and friendly. The hotel and grounds, although an older building, is very well maintained and the room was clean and the beds comfortable. The location is excellent. Facing the ocean we could hear the waves as we went to sleep.Close to shopping and the airport. We were also able to have breakfast at the attached restaurant, "Tantes" right at 7 a.m. Great food, reasonable prices. I would definitely stay there again.

Beds were very uncomfortable. Room smelled musty. It is close to airport and within walking distance of shopping and dining.

Nice hotelPosted Mar 13, 2015
Pros: It was quiet and very comfortable. The view of the ocean was great.
Cons: Give people the rooms that they sign up for. Just because we booked thru Expedia does not mean you can put us in any room.
Location: Not the best location. There wasn't anything very close. You would need a car to get around to anything.
The hotel was nice once we got the room we signed up for. They tried to give us a room with smaller beds which was not what I signed up for. There was not much around for us to go to and we didn't have a car so we felt a little isolated. The restaurant had very good food. You can get to the beach but you have to go down the block to get there, it was not accessible from the hotel.

Pleasant StayPosted Mar 12, 2015
Pros: The staff. The location near the hotel and easy access to sigh seeing. The courtyard is beautiful and the lobby is open to the breezes and beautiful.
Cons: the bathrooms
Location: great access to shopping and airport
The hotel is located in the industrial/business area of Kahulua, very close to the airport and shopping so it is a very conveinent palce to stay especially if you will travel to Hana, Paia, and Wailuku. It is not a resort, however the courtyard pool area is beautiful, resort like and relaxing with a beautiful view of the Harbor. The area surrounding the hotel has traffic, however, it is a convenient local to stay especially for travelors who leave the hotel for sight seeing. We changed hotels when we changed locations to the other side of the island. I will definitely recommend this hotel and I will stay here again as it is affordable. The staff is wonderful...they are knid, helpful and welcoming.Mahalo!

Nice ViewPosted Mar 10, 2015
Pros: View of the ocean Competitive price
We stayed there for a night after being in a resort for the week. Facility is old, but in pretty good shape. Grounds are nice. View is pretty good. Great for a night.

Just passablePosted Mar 9, 2015
We arrived on Maui for a 3 week holiday and knowing that we were 1 day early for our condo rental I booked a single nights stay at the Maui Seaside Hotel. The place is dated and not in a charming way, it looks like it needs extensive renovations and while checking in, the front desk staff answered no less then 4 calls from other potential guests only to be told that they were fully booked, yet when my wife and I were wondering about later in the evening we saw a lot of the rooms were still dark leading one to think that either a lot of people were still to check in or that those rooms had issues and could not be rented. The bed was loose and in fact when both my wife and sat on the end we just about fell on the floor cause the bed was about to flip over. In the morning we heard a tiny scratching sound on the door and when I opened it there was a housekeeping person asking about is checking out, I indicated that we were ok and not 10 minutes later another knock on the door was from a maintenance member asking the same thing. To sum it up, if you want a place to stay for a night or 2 this place is passable .....but just barely. For the price paid it is adequate but don't expect too much.
