excellent customer servicePosted Jul 24, 2015
Pros: Location, amenities and staff is key at Napili Kai. Every employee we came into contact was pleasant, polite, accommodating, true Aloha spirit.
Cons: When not in use, specific areas for paddle boards is needed. The valuable shade space on the grass is often taken by boards most of the day.
Location is excellent, right on the beach. Enjoyable large pool, good restaurant and bar on site. Once you arrive there is no reason to leave. Room was comfortable, nicely furnished and well maintained, wonderful view from our room. Great housekeeping staff.

Fantastic family beach resort!Posted Jun 19, 2015
Pros: The one-bedroom suite was extremely spacious and we had a lot of privacy. The kids' bedroom had its own balcony, bathroom, and entrance.
Cons: We would have liked to have had air conditioning in our suite.
Location: It is on the beach. You can hike, swim, snorkel, paddle board, go zip lining or horseback riding.
Our entire family LOVED this resort! It was luxurious yet unpretentious. The restaurant, where we ate almost daily (with occasional meals in the room which had a very well-equipped kitchenette and full-sized fridge, plus we had a few meals at other local restaurants) had excellent gourmet food and the kids could eat free off the kids' menu throughout our stay. The staff was consistently friendly and helpful. There was a very "homey" atmosphere to this resort which was very comforting to us. The resort is perched just above one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen, with spectacular ocean views. Another aspect of this place that we enjoyed was that there seemed to be people from all walks of life: families with young children, families with older children, young couples on romantic getaways, as well as older couples romantic getaways of their own. My husband loved snorkeling with the turtles almost every day and I paddle boarded for the first time and fell in love with it. The kids swam at the beautiful beach as well as in each of the four lovely pools on the property, and they also paddle boarded, boogie boarded, and snorkled. It was a dream island vacation, and we hope to return to Napili Kai resort someday soon!

Relaxing in paradisePosted Jun 17, 2015
Napoli Kai Resort was a perfect getaway for my husband and me. Our room was upgraded upon arrival, which put us oceanfront only a few yards from the beach and ocean. Although it is a quiet resort we found plenty to do. We especially loved the hiking trails and snorkeling in Napili waters! Hated to leave!

Laid back, well maintained, adjacent to beachPosted Jun 4, 2015
Stayed at the resort for the second time. The location is great, staff is happy and helpful. We like that it's a small hotel when compared to the monstrosities in nearby Kaanapali.

Great Spot for Relaxation, Just Get A Good RoomPosted May 29, 2015
Pros: The kitchenettes were great because it gives you the option of cooking own meals instead of solely relying on restaurants.
Cons: Renovate the older stuff - although that appears to be underway. Air Conditioning in all the buildings.
Location: Snorkeling, swimming. Overall, the areas seems to shut down for the most part around 9-10 o clock, which was fine by me.
I booked a 1-week stay in an Ocean View 1-bd Suite. Initially, I was assigned a room in the Aloha building (same bldg as the lobby). This room did not look like the room photos posted on the site - instead of being modern, it was more tiki-kitsch. This, I would not mind so much if I were staying for only a night or two, or had planned to be out of my room most of the day. However, the bad part was that it was shoddy all around, and my "separate sleeping area" was an adjoining suite with 2 single beds (I was there by myself), and was expecting a king or queen in the bedroom, more in line with the description given on the hotel site. Given the price I was paying, I also expected a quality more along the lines of what the website shows. Thankfully, after voicing my concerns, the hotel staff was super accommodating in switching my room to one that they let me choose. They also honored my deal (7th night free) and cut me a deal on what turned out to be an upgrade from Ocean View to Ocean Front. The room I wound up with was awesome!

Nice QUIET hotel on the beachPosted May 6, 2015
Pros: Quiet - small - NOT a lot of action
Cons: Not much - I like the charm - like "old Hawaii"
Location: It's Maui - nothing is THAT far!
If you are looking to escape and stay a little out of the way this is PERFECT.

Exceeded all expectations!!Posted Apr 19, 2015
The only problem with visiting such a beautiful place is that you have to leave eventually, and the reality of your normal life pales so much in comparison you feel like you were dreaming for a week. But I say better to have loved and lost especially because I plan on visiting the island again and again if I am fortunate enough to do so. The island of Maui is breathtakingly gorgeous and to fully appreciate it a rental car is a must. There is a lot to discover and in 8 days we only scratched the surface. As far as swimming and snorkeling goes there is absolutely no reason at all to leave the resort, tons of fish, whale sightings, dolphins and best of all sea turtles! I swam with several including a 400 lb behemoth that snuck up on me to check me out. AMAZING. Maui and Hawaii= $$$$$ BUT... Our room had a full kitchen and bbq on site and we ate like kings and saved $1000 or so in the process. Very romantic setting although there were a lot of families, but to me a beach with no kids on it is just weird and wrong... that being said if you want to stay up late and drink your face off every night Maui is not the place to go. Try Honolulu instead! We drank plenty but woke up and went to bed super early everyday. It's too beautiful during the day to sleep through it! And no our room didn't have a/c, instead it had a beautiful ocean breeze blowing through the lanai all night... trust me no machine could ever replicate this effect! Best sleep I ever had in my life, and the best trip.

Best night sleep, hear waves crash, ocean breezePosted Apr 11, 2015
Beautiful lagoon, professional staff, who are not seasonal, feels like you are staying in a community, not a franchise hotel that was dropped on the Beach, this is the real deal
